New Years Eve at The World???

I have a question about what to do in WDW on New Years Eve BUT without going to the parks. We went a couple of years ago to MK on New Years Eve and it was a lot of fun but WAY to crowded for my wife. We just made last minute reservations to get down there again but we are looking for something else to do that night. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

Cirque Du Soleil offers a NYE package. You could also do dinner at a MK resort and see the fireworks from one of the beaches.

I'm spending it at Raglan Road, listening to the music of Creel while drinking some delicious Irish brews.

I did this one year and it was excellent, had drinks after the show with the performers

Often overlooked is DHS NYE's offerings. They do fireworks, offer three F!'s that night, and Mulch Sweat and Shears performs in front of the Hat throughout the evening. I don't think it's anywhere as crowded as MK and Epcot on NYE either.

Epcot, and IllumiNations: ROE NYE show is the only choice in this situation.

I'm there every year at NYE. We do the midnight fireworks at the MK on 12/30. Its the exact same show and has about 1/3 the crowd of the next night. Then on NYE we spend the afternoon and maybe watch the early Wishes fireworks show but then spend the evening and countdown to the new year back at the resort. It is so relaxing to sit back for a night, not fight the crowds, and enjoy the evening and drinks with friends and family just sitting outside. (I'm from northern Illinois so the weatehr is perfect now matter what it is)
