New years 70s style

I was wondering how many of my fellow WDW MAGIC members were at WDW during the 70s for newyears. I wanted to know if any one remembered some of the bands that played the Tommrowland stage in thoes years 71 to 79.
I was 8 yo the first year so I dont recall the first few years of who played but I know they were top name acts. The only one I can remember from the late 70s was one year floridias native sons Harry Casey with his band K.C and the Sunshine band. They played the Tommrowland stage that new years and the House was a rockin that night I can tell ya. It was like cool man, they really made the sceen.
I remenber seeing him and the band at the Comtempoary eariler that day, I think there were staying in the tower like most of the celebs did when they were booked at MK in the 70s

This is very interesting, no one here was at WDW for new years in the 70s?.

Um, it's probably very late for most people on the boards. Give people time to reply.

Anyway, I wouldn't know. I wasn't even alive during the 70's.

Sorry, I was alive (and an adult) in the seventies, but didn't get to WDW until 1982!

However, I'm one of the "oldsters" on this forum, so I think that may be why no one is responding.

They don't call me The Mom for no reason....I am old enough to be mother to most of them! (although I would have had to have started pretty early for some!)

I was trying to see if we had any members that rember WDW from the beginning like I do. I was only eight in '71 so I was just old enough to enjoy WDW from the beginning and have a comparision to base my current disgust for a lot of the changes and decisions Disney has made to WDW with the expansion of the property not all of them were bad, I wish some of them were around then like PI. I also wanted to find some one who could refresh my memory of some of the entertainers that appeared at WDW in the first 10 years whan my parents took my sis and me every Christmas from 71 to 79. I know that for new years at Mk they always had big name acts on that night and we partied till 2 or 3 am, It was a great time to be a kid.
