They need something impressive for the CM's to put on their resumes. They can't just put something simple, like what 99.998% of the guests will call it "That Bird Show".

That actually makes even more sense than padding out the name to try and impress guests.
Really, there's no reason why a short, daily event where macaws orbit the tree needs a name at all.

Interesting that they're doing a new show featuring South American birds. As far as I know, this is the first major-ish (larger than an animal enclosure) representation of South America in the park. Too bad they're using the last major expansion area for Pandora instead of a proper place for the macaws to call home

I'm also really hoping that the show includes some sort of reference to the "Because of their claws?/No, because they're macaws" line...

All 4 of the WDW parks need these smaller types of offerings for the guests to enjoy. I always read posts from the WDW veterans on this forum that speak about free activities that were everywhere in the MK back in the 70s/early 80s. Supposedly, everywhere you looked on MSUSA, for example, there was something going on for the guests to experience.

Hopefully this type of thing is replicated.

There's a huge undeveloped area north of Asia/east of Rafiki's that could easily how a new land/continent like South America or Australia. In fact, I've always gotten the sense that Disney would prefer to use that area for any animal intensive land, so that the animal enclosures mostly stay on the north side of the park, while non living animal stuff (Pandora and the Dinos) are on the south side, closer to the park entrance.

Well, I would argue that the interactive stuff like Agent P, SOTMK, Wildness Explorers, etc. are "smaller types of offerings for guests to enjoy" that have been recently added. There's always going to be experiences that are coming and going.

This sounds lovely, I'm glad to see more animal attractions added, and I've never been to Discovery Island (it closed shortly before we moved here). Very happy to see something being done there.

LOL

There is another Steve Martin who runs Natural Encounters Inc and they produce animal shows all over the USA. His company does Flights of Wonder.

Glad to see hyacinth macaws back in the park. They left the Oasis a few years ago. I assume this will be something similar to what San Diego zoo does to open their park each morning.
