Thank you so much for this information! Knowing that the Magic Kingdom closes at 9:30 on May 10th is great news for me and my family. I am also really excited to see there will be a Spectro that night. Once again, thank you very much.. you news bites here and there are greatly appreciated! :sohappy:

THX for the info FL just hope the news on all of PO being closed is just a rumor I know french quarter will be closed but I hope not Riverside we have resevations for 12/03 and I am realy looking forward to staying there requested a Mansion room we stayed there last year in the Alligator Bayou loved it I know if the news is true we will be offered another room but I will still be dissapointed I just love the atmosphere at PO Riverside :( :( :(

That's awesome about the hour extension! Do you have the hours for May 29th, and May 30th. I didn't see those on here?? I'm doing down from May 29th - June 2nd so I'm super happy if they extend the hours so we can get a bit more WDW magic! :)

Any word on if they will extend Epcot or the MGM Studio's hours?

I sure hope they add a SM for May 31. I'll be arriving on the 24 (and won't be going to the parks) and leaving on June1. I hope to be able to see SM.

I hope that the Philarmagic opening stands...it would be great to see that and Space when I go in Aug/Sept.

That's GREAT NEWS!! I was disappointed with some of the May hours. I'm going May 14 - 18. I've NEVER had an ERide nite. Wanted to see SpectroMagic as well. So totally psyched about that. Can't wait. I'm calling to get my tickets NOW for the ERide nite.

Thanks for the updates FL. Always look forward to them and they are always informative.

Can some explain what Grad Night does to the attendance at the MK. My family was planning on visiting MK on May 9th. Should we avoid it because of Grad Night or should we be ok during the day????

Its great to hear that MK hours are extended and they've added spectromagic and more fireworks to several nights. I wish they could have made these changes sooner, but I understand somewhat.

I just hope we all remember when the next month's hours are posted and if they aren't great that they probably will be changed. Hey its happened for March, April and now May.

FLcastmember, I think you previously did a comparison of May's "original" posted hours with last year's and they were actually pretty close (minus Spectro). How do these new hours compare to last year? I think they are better, right?

Oh, by the way, thanks again for the great update. Come them comin'.

I honestly think that WDW is conservative with their hours and schedules for sound business reasons. First off, the economic situation that the country and world is in along with the terror and war. I would presume it is much easier for them to add items to the schedule than to remove them.

Honestly people do you think they would be shuting down resorts Port Orleans French Quarter and leaving a new resort like Pop Century closed if they could fill them. On top of this they are running some fairly large discounts on for all level of resorts currently through early July.

As for the rehabs, I guess no time of the year is ideal, but service and repairs are inevitable and must be done not only by the season, but when the qualified people who make these repairs are available.
