I've heard from friends who just got back from WDW that their are new park maps for the 50th. Of course with my luck they threw them away when they left the park. Does anyone have any scans, pics, or confirmation? :animwink:

Maybe your friend is talking about Disneyland's new maps. They feature the 50th Anniversary on it, in addition to Disney's California Adventure.

this is a little off topic, but its about maps. Why does Disnsey still do the seperate times guide (well at least last time I was there they were doing that)

There are a lot more shows across the parks, and the timing of the live presentations has changed a lot with park hours and events changing fairly regularly. It is cheaper to print the plain paper time supplement than to change the full color maps each week.

Ok, cause those things are so annoying, I really wish they would get rid of them, Universal has

universal has gotten rid of them because they only have 2 parks and they know how long the paks will be open way in advance. Disney has 4 and their park hours are a little more varried. (normally longer hours I might add)

my gosh I wish we could stop comparing to UNIVERSAL for just one MIN.!!!

Plus everyone knows if we did start comparing DISNEY would win (especally while your on these boards :p ) :sohappy:

Disney will change the park times if there is increased attendance, by way of them judging it, is by how many of their hotel rooms are booked. I can recall checking the online calendar times and then getting there to find out they were going to be open later than the calendar indicated. Works for me. Also disney has many more shows and small things going on around the parks, parades, fireworks, etc. Universal does not have these things, so has no need for the extra sheet and I can see why they did away with it.
