From what i heard through rumor is that disney is proposing building a DVC resort at either the Ospery or one of the other golf courses. If anyone knows anything about this, i would love to know. Also, rumors has it that they may be closing Indiana Jones in MGM to build the same ride that is Disneyland based on Idiana Jones. They have more than enough room to build it, its just when. Maybe after they get done with EPCOT stuff and work on MGM then for its 25.

... MGM's 25th? Talk about a long way off.

Are you talking about the Shades of Green expansion/rehab? I bet you are.

The Indy rumor is nothing more than that, and has been posted hundreds of times. Please use the search function before posting.

This is coming from a person who works at Disney Studios Orlando.. The area where the Indy stunt show is a logistical nightmare... The idea of a ride going there is almost nil... The stadium is build into a hill and therefore would require much more construction and engineering... Another show going in that spot is more logical thana ride.. However, I would prefer the ride.. And, you never know what Disney has up its sleeve for that area... Any Imagineers on this board who can attest to what I described about this area of the park?

I have never heard of it referred to as "Disney Studios Orlando". They would say FLORIDA, not Orlando. And it would probably be Walt Disney Studios Florida if they were trying to use the correct name.

edit: the correct name of the "working" studios, not the theme park, which is

Disney-MGM Studios

Ah, ok. Stop doing that, then.

Thrawn, you really have too much time on your hands. ;)

Lighten up, we all call things different names, no need to be so nit-picky.

Yes, we call things different names. But if I purport to have "inside information" from somebody that works at a park, I don't use a made up name to describe the park.

It wouldn't be as much of a problem as you describe. Just like Dinosaur for Indy you would want the idea of going under ground. Therefore the ride itself could be built where the show itself takes place, with the entrance to the line at the level of the top of the stadium. As for Eagle Pines, the idea is not dead. While they are doing Saratoga instead don't be surprised to see it built down the road. They have designs, plans, models, and concept art, which means a lot of money invested in the concept. It is very possible it will be built after SS is complete.

i dont see where his calling the park by a different name has any bearing on the validity of his information.

I see your point, but I still think in this case it's a bit nit picky. ;)

Sort of like I am being with you right now. :D

I guess I'm a big 'ol black kettle yelling at the pot "BLACK!".

Hehe.

I think he is just questioning why someone who supposedly works there would get the name wrong.

Yeah. Wow. I know all the correct names, I'm going to work there next spring, and my sister already worked there, not to mention I own many books on the parks and Disney in general.

But I don't care if somebody just calls a park/ride whatever comes to mind first. It's just a little mistake, and these threads are informal. Most of us know the correct names--and if someone say something a bit different chances are everyone knows what the person ment. It's not secret important info. or anything.

Let's all play nice.
