New Walk-Through "Ride/Show" Idea

I just came up with an idea for a new walk-through Ride/Show. It would be called "Once Upon A Time". It would be a five story building designed to look like a small castle, much like Cinderella's Castle. It would go in either EPCOT or Disney-MGM Studio's. It would have four stories open to the visitors and one story for the controls and workers. When you walk in the door, you enter a dark, black room. Giant screens that make up four of the walls (the room is a pentagon), come on and Walt Disney Pictures Presents... and so-on (like you were getting ready to watch a Disney film) is projected onto the screens. Then, at the point of the room, that all of the vistitors are facing, an Anamatronic Walt Disney is lit up. He begins to talk about his childhood and teenage years. The light on him fades, slowly, out. The screens now show what he is still talking about. Then, when he is done talking, the wall without a screen opens and the visitors walk through the opening. This room is a regular square room with ropes blocking off the 8'x8' pillar that stands in the middle. Another screen, in the front of the room, comes on to show Walt Disney and his wife on the train, when Mickey Mouse was created. Soon the screen goes off and pastel colored lighting comes on the light up the pillar. The pillar rises into the cieling and a giant Mickey Mouse stands in the center. (The Mickey would be black and white, like the Mickey on Steemboat Willy) A narrator's voice then comes on through the speakers and starts to talk about how Mickey was created and when his first appearance was and how big of a hit he was, etc. The pastel lights soon change to neon, bright lights. The Mickey is the center of the room starts to wiggle. He then starts to change colors and he turns into the "Modern Mickey". The narrator then starts to talk about how he has changed over the years, etc. When the narrator is done, the pillar covers Mickey up again and the lights change to dim white lights. Then, the wall to the visitors left opens and they exit into a small, dark room. I can't think of what the first movie, after Steemboat Willy was and I don't know the exact order that the movies came out either. So, after they enter, the wall closes and the first movie, after Steamboat Willy, is talked about and the visitors are shown anamatronics of the characters and the original paper that the movie was done on. Then they do the same thing over and over, looking at all of the anamated movies that Disney Pictures created. Also, Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris, Disneyland Tokyo, Disney Seas, etc. All of this goes in the order it was created. Each of the four stories that the visitors are allowed on has about 8-12 movies, parks, etc. The tragic death of Walt Disney is also one of the rooms. Tell me what you all think! **please love it! please love it!**:D

It seems that only Disney fans will enjoy this. To people who don't know a a thing about Disney will:snore:. Trust me. But it would be nice to see an audio-animatronic Walt Disney though.

Well first off the title and exterior facade are very misleading, these did not tell me the attraction was about Walt, Mickey, ect, etc.

This does not really fit at EPCOT and there already is One Mans Dream at the Studios, so geographically this would be trouble some.

I could really only see this scaled down and replacing One Man's Dream with a sort of Anamatronic version, but otherwise it's a nice idea but it just would not work for these reasons and what imagineer boy mentioned.

Okay! Figment Dream, you win! You are right. I did choose two HORRIBLE spots to put this. It would go in Disneyland instead! In the New Orleans Square or Tomorrowland area. The building, if in New Orleans Square, would look like an old Port house. It would have boarded up windows, wooden doors, and Rott Iron fencing, etc. On the other hand, if it were in Tomorowland, it would look pretty much like the rest of the buildings do except without as many windows. It would also have what would look like a large space intellegence center on the roof. It would just be decoration though. Now tell me what you all think!:sohappy:
