Since these are now well on the way, I thought I`d mention my Ultimate tribute videos, available free at Disney Central IRC, Torrents.
I decided to re edit from scratch the principle Futureworld attraction videos I did a year or two ago. This time the picture and audio quality is so much better, as is the editing, and I have so much more material, audio and footage to use. Each video has a full history, concepts and construction section, animated pavilion and ride guide, exterior footage, holding areas, preshows and full multi camera angle ridethrus with as much source audio as possible. What isn`t source I`ve cleaned up, and have also used a new video enhancement program where needed. I wanted to make the best video I could of each, my "Ultimate Tributes" to each attraction, making each ride segment as if you were there again - but showing more than a single ride could possibly do. I`ve also gone all out on the history and origins of each attraction, and how they worked.
There are 5 videos in this set; the rest of Futureworld I have recently covered to a similar standard:
World of Motion
Full concept & construction section from 1978 to 1982. Full multi angle ride thru with source music & Gary Owens narration, enhanced spot fx and enhanced center core finale. Then a full tour of Transcenter, with full Bird and the Robot show.
Journey into Imagination
Again, concepts and early designs from 1978 to 1982. Construction coverage, what opened in 1982 and how the pavilion was without the ride. Then a tour of the entrance foyer mural, and full multi angle ridethru with full high quality source audio and enhanced spot fx where needed. A quick look at the shop, then walk upstairs for a full tour of the original Imageworks, and finish off in the fountain garden circa 1985-1991.
Horizons
The biggie! 55 minutes long, trace the history of the laboratory pavilion through to Futureprobe and Century 3. I`ve covered ride layouts that never made it, and ideas that were proposed but cancelled. This is followed by a full construction section through to the opening, then a full multi angle ride thru beginning with total Futureport coverage. Each scene is covered in detail, with full high quality source music and source quality narration. I`ve cleaned up and enhanced all the Animatronic dialogue as much as possible, indeed using most of each charecters spiel, and added spot fx where needed. All 3 finale films are included in full, as is the GE logo walk out and mural coverage.
Universe of Energy
Trace the origins of this attraction from the 1964 New York Worlds Fair, through the 1977 Solar energy collector ride to the 1978 energy pavilion. See how the 1978 design developed into the final design, and a full construction section. Then walk in and watch the full Radok preshow with full source audio, walk into Theatre One and board the travelling theatre. Watch the full Theatre One show with enhanced soundtrack, and take a full multi angle multi track journey through the Diorama. Arrive in Theatre Two, with the full holding show, then watch the full Theatre Two show with enhanced audio and multi screen coverage. Finally arrive back in Theatre One for the multi angle, source audio finale. Exit the pavilion, and cross over to Communicore East for a look at Energy Exchange.
Spaceship Earth 1986 & Communicore
What happened to the original Perrin version of Spaceship Earth? Find out how things changed in May 1986 as you arrive at EPCOT Center and take a full multi angle, enhanced audio journey thorugh the updated Spaceship Earth. Pass the home and office sets, the AT&T Network Control and the satellite being repaired next to the space station, then prepare for your backwards return to earth with Tomorrows Child. Exit the ride and have a look at Earth Station, then cross to the Futureworld Fountain plaza and visit Communicore West with Futurecom, Sunrise Terrace and Expo Robotics. Cross over to Communicore East and see the Future Choice Theatre, go shopping in Centorium, eat with the chareters in Stargate, and look at Energy Exchange, Travelport and Computer Central. Then watch, in full ,Backstage Magic with Julie and IO. Finally, leave Futureworld Central and EPCOT Center at night.
World of Motion is available now, Horizons and Journey into Imagination should be this week, with Universe of Energy not long after. Spaceship Earth `86 will be out after Energy.
And remember - they`re all free!
