New Train Station Sign

Forgive me if this is being discussed somewhere else, I looked and couldn't find it. The Walt Disney World Railroad's new sign was unveiled today and it appears the "The" has been removed from in front of "Magic Kingdom". The elevation and population statistics are also gone.

The population and elevation stats were one of those nice Disney pay attention to details if you know what I mean.

This upsets me. I always assumed that the population number was meant to imply that everyone who ever entered is an honorary citizen of the Magic Kingdom (although the number hadn't been updated in a while).

Removing the word "The" and "Walt Disney World" doesn't bother me though.

The old sign looked much better. Just another downgrade.

It will always be THE Magic Kingdom to me.

I am just glad it doesn't say "Magic Kingdom Park"

Another reason to enjoy the higher level of "purity" when I visit Disneyland. A shame nonetheless. Why fix what's just fine the way it was?

It's literally just a sign.

Personally, my vacation experience isn't affected by a few missing gold letters on a sign.

It's a designed environment, nothing is just tossed in. There were multiple meetings about that sign.

I don't believe so. Here is a picture from 1971 (obviously not mine) and it was not there
