Very cool. Now i'm kinda mad I didnt get to ride it when i was down there in November. I've never rode it and the line was so INSANE that we skipped it.
I don't blame you for skipping it. Good game, not worth the hour long wait IMO.
Hopefully, Star Tours II will finally give TSMM some line relief. Or they could just eliminate FastPass and make everybody wait 30-40 minutes, as was the usual line at DCA when I was there two summers ago. It's odd -- the DHS TSMM is climate-controlled and wonderfully themed with a lot to look at and do, while the DCA line is horribly boring, outdoors, and cramped. So they give the DHS folks a fastpass opportunity to skip the queue, and make everybody at DCA wait in it.

That is only because as of now DCA doesn't draw the crowd it is supposed to.
TSMM at DCA doesn't use FastPass. It makes the line move a lot quicker.
TSMM is actually my favorite ride at the Studios so I think even an insane 60-minute wait is worth it! :lookaroun
Do we already know when it will be closing for the refurb?

TSMM at DCA doesn't use FastPass. It makes the line move a lot quicker. TSMM is very popular at DCA, and the park has seen some very big crowds in the past few months. The shorter wait time is attributed to the lack of FastPass![]()
Agreed but is is still skewed imo due to lack of people I could be wrong though.
Very cool. Seeing things like this make me think that the Parks are headed in the correct direction.
Fastpass on TSMM is fine - Soarin' was the same way back in '06. When Star Tours 2.0 opens and Star Tours is using Fastpass on a daily basis it will draw some of the crowds away from Toy Story. The problem is, that because it's a family attraction and is mildly addictive you get people doing it more than once per day. If you have more offerings in the park it will spread out the crowds.
Taking Fastpass off TSMM is a bandaid solution to a larger problem - the park needs more rides.
It is a bandaid solution -- no question. But it would allow greater use of the queue, which is one of the attraction's strengths in comparison to others. You get little extra out of going standby on ToT or RnRC (really ambiance only), but going standby on TSMM allows you to see some fun stuff that, IMHO, can easily keep one amused for 30 minutes (except for the dreadful last five in the circus hallway, but even the fastpassers go through that piece).
