Disney typically has honored previously purchased tickets under the pretense of which they were purchased. So your 2017 tickets are "anytime tickets " and that's how Disney will honor them. ( till there gone)We have tickets already on our MDE account since 2017. Now that Disney has per specific day pricing, is there anything special we need to do with these tickets or do we just go and they let us in?
Good point ! Tickets do have an expiration nowadays. The clock starts ticking the first day you check into a park. And they last for 2 weeks. So as Dreamfinder said it's possible your tickets have timed out. If I'm not mistaken Disney did not offer the " no expiration " in 2017. That option was an up charge. I still have 6 days left on a magic band ( I paid the upcharge) and when I checked with Guest Service (2 years ago) they confirmed the tickets are valid.Depends on if those tickets had "expiration" dates on them or not. When they were going through the transition in tickets over the last few years (IE after removing the non-expire) one of the changes they made was add an "expiration" date to a ticket. You could still use them after that point, however you would need to stop by ticketing/guest services (I think either can help) and get they bridged to the current ticket structure. You wouldn't lose the value you paid for the ticket, but you would no longer be able to stock pile tickets before a price increase and use them years down the road. As long as they haven't expired, you can just walk up and use them. But if they expired, you would need to have them bridged and potentially pay any price difference.

Ya, these expire in 2021....they gave them to us due to some issues we had with our room and service. To expound upon this further, there are now two expirations in play.
First, as @Driver said, once first used, the tickets do have a set number of days to use all the entitlements. The exception is if you paid for the non expiration option, then you can use them over any number of visits. Otherwise they would expire in 14 days from first use. The newer ticketing structure has varying expirations depending on the number of days on the ticket and the length of your trip if you are staying on property.
Second, tickets sold in the last year or two have an "expiration" date on when they need to first be used by. This was to get around people holding onto tickets for long periods of time to get around price increases. (Essentially what you are doing, whether or not that was your intention) You need to use the tickets before that date, or have ticketing/guest services assist you in converting them to new tickets with a new expiration date, and possibly having to pay the price difference. After first use, you are then subject to whatever expiration period fits as mentioned above.
Think of it like using a coupon to buy milk. The coupon has an expiration date on it, and then the milk has a shelf life that you need to drink it before it goes bad. The tickets sold now have expiration dates, and then a shelf life to use it once opened before they won't work any more.
When you bought the tickets it should have shown you the expiration date (if it applied), either in your order confirmation, or on the physical ticket media.
