New Tiana themed restaurant?

Is it just me or does anyone else think we need a Tiana themed restaurant somewhere in WDW? Maybe one of the Port Orleans hotels could do it...? I know I would take the boatride on the Sassagoula river just to eat there. What about in Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom by her meet and greet? Liberty Tree Tavern could host a character breakfast or lunch? She is a fun princess from a fun town so I`m thinking its a no brainer.

I think a lot of people would like to see Bonfamille's at Port Orleans French Quarter reopen as Tiana's Place. Not a character meal -- just a subtle theming with good Cajun/Creole food.

In addition to closing "redundant" table restaurants on adjacent resorts (with Ariel's at BC also closing), Bonfamilie's was closed back in the early (ahempressler) 00's, when POFQ itself was on the verge of closing.
You-Know-Who, who'd came up with the idea of a romantic "grownup" resort, was now trying to come up with excuses to bury a resort "the kids weren't coming to", and when Shades of Green needed somewhere to house its guests during rehab, there were rumors of temporarily taking over the resort and, erm, quietly not bringing it back when they were finished and keeping it as a military resort.

I'm proud to say, we POFQ lovers put a stop to that idea loudly and publicly, back when we were only a silent minority. :D (The SoG guests were housed at Contemporary Gardens instead.) If half the people here who this month had to give up on POFQ since they couldn't get free dining can't believe that the resort was ever "unwanted", we've worked hard to come a long way.
Now that it's been "redeemed", seems like it'd be a good time to bring back the table restaurant, even on a small scale. With or without a Tiana theme, wouldn't mind a little newly chef-specific Creole/N'awleans cuisine, as compared to the general southern cooking at Boatwright's.

That is exactly what we need. If the restaurant is named Tiana`s place then that would be enough of a theme. Afterall, her restaurant was a huge part of her movie.

If it's going to be a true New Orleans restaurant, it should be Creole, not Cajun. I think most people won't know the difference, so it should include mostly Cajun cuisine because people will be more familiar with it.

That said, I assure you, House of Blues is NOT a Cajun restaurant.

Finally, if they serve beignets at the "Tiana" restaurant, they better not serve them with honey. We don't do that, we use only powdered sugar.

Otherwise, I think a restaurant is an awesome idea.

Let's see, Creole cooks everything in tomato sauce, right, and Cajun puts tabasco on it and burns it black? ;)

(Seriously, was hoping a POFQ restaurant could distinguish itself with a sweeter New Orleans Creole, since Boatwright's was already playing the "Southern" angle and offering Cajun. The time is right.)

I have been saying this the past two trips. I think a Tiana breakfast at Boatwright's would be easy enough to get going. And I have heard so much about the sweet potato pancakes they used to serve.

It kind of goes along nicely with the Royal Rooms, too. They have already established that area as "Tiana's place".

I agree, I think it would be a great idea, but unfortunately, I think the time has passed and they are riding the Frozen train right now.

Tangled and Tiana seemed to be lost in the shuffle at disney. If I recall Tiana did well but not amazing and Tangled - I did not follow at all. I still do not understand the tangled area in the new fantasyland - a Tiana area would have been nice. But you are right, I fully expect in the next 5 years a Frozen attraction.
