Okay, I have no idea where, or in what time frame this should be in, but this is my idea for a new, original theme park. It's tied in with Epcot and Tomorrowland, so maybe California is a good place for it? I don't know, but this is my idea anyway...
(Warning: these are raw ideas, rife with mispelled words. English teachers, be afraid.)
It's called Disney's FutureVisions. A theme park dedicated to the visionaries who have inspired technologcial acheivement throught history, but by using mediums like books, tv, theme parks, ect. The park will be wheel-shaped, with these "Visions":
Leanardo Da Vinci. A look at the inventions, real and otherwise.
(Undecided, maybe based around 50's TV sci-fi serials?). Includes Buck Rodgers (they'd have to get the liscense). I know I want them to make the Astro Blasters ride (WDW) into a slighylu campy, silvery-shiny 50's setting.
(Undecided). This area is about genetic technology, nano-machines, and the like. I want to have a darkride of the factory where they install these little machines into people in the future.
Jules Vernon. This would be using some of the other attractions from DLP.
(Undecided). Emphasis on the cyberpunk-like vistage of the future. Could relate to the movie Tron somehow?
Walt Disney. Focuses on the original EPCOT design, as well as his focus on transportation, as seen in Tomorrowland.
(I know I'm missing some things out of the original idea. Bear with me, it was a while ago.)
The big hook to this park, though, is in the center, where the hotel Walt Disney designed for the original EPCOT, is standing. The reason this is, is because the circular design of the park is because a small peice of that is the "Garden of Great Minds" (working title), and that's open to the public from outside the park. Finally, much like DAK, you have to enter each "Vision" from the hub, because there is an optional (but short) lecture given by an AA of each person the "Vision" belongs to.
As for transportation, around the outside of the park is a WEDway Peoplemover that has stops at every other "Vision." This will also go through show buildings, giving you some background info on the ride, like what technology is running in the backround, how some effects happen, why the ride is in line with the "Vision" (or why it isn't...), and so on.
I'll post some more later, but any thoughts?
