The roof that we have now is reported to be temporary. Seeing that the newly released concept art didn't bother changing the roof, I'm wondering if we'll be getting that roof eventually.

It's temporary?

I was under the assumption that we were going to get the Paris roof, but due to some changes, we got a rebuilt version of the old one.

They dumped a lot of money into a "temporary" roof if that's the case. I think we're looking at TDO's final product right now.

True, but the refurb to the roof was announced VERY last-minute. It's possible that they discovered something that needed to be fixed right away and couldn't wait. And what we see could possibly still be staying, but as the bottom layer of the roof structure, with the decorative roof installed over top of it.

(Though I'll admit, that's a few presumptions on my part)

I agreed with this 100% until I saw it in person. It is dreadful in person. It's dented and un-even looking. The raised metal bars look like they may have been added to support an overlay of a new roof in the future. With the current metal roof being the temporary roof that will eventually just be under the new roof and not visable. And the reason why it was such a rush job is because it was the only time to do it. There is no way they could have done it now with Toontown being closed. It seems like it could now be added over-night. This current roof may just be sitting pretty until the expansion is complete or close to it. That was my honest opinion when I saw it. It screams temporary. And the artwork supports that. We have now had 3 versions of it. The roof has not been changed in a single one of them. Just my theory.

Sure, temporary like the BAH and Camp Minnie-Mickey

Anyway, for reasons others have posted about before, the roof probably won't be clear like the one in Paris because there's a lot of pollen and other things that would require constantly cleaning

Well I think we could be getting something entirely new from the Paris version with out the glass. Maybe it could be like the leaves from Wonderland draping over the sides maybe lol IDK it just kinda looks like oversized leaves that form a roof lol

Until they don't install the lights on it, I don't think it can be considered permanent (and i sure hope we get the great-looking roof in the concept art!!)...

Maybe they did build it in preparation to receive the "real" roof later. What I saw in the few photos that got posted on here was what appeared to be a standing-seam metal roof.

I completely failed to look at it while we were there recently. Does anyone have nice, high-res photos of it?
