Nice find!

And yes, the fountain (and stage) were built specifically for this show.

And yes, that is the theme to `Magical` as used in Anaheim. But it`s worth remembering the EPCOT Center show and music were brought from TDL.

That monster is currently on the south side of the Central Shops building. You can just see it through the trees as you are passing the Monorail Barn.

How long did that show run for? I think Epcot could definitely use a show on the fountain stage because right now it is never really used for anything.

Exactly where, I looked down the space between the plants and club cool but couldn't find it. I didn't look in the center of the bed, next time I got to epcot I am going to make a video collage of all the remains of old attractions along with some classic music. I bet it is all rusted out now. I tried to find the 4 poles that shot fireworks but couldn't find them. I am surprised the fountain is still running with barley any changes but thank god its still performing every time I look at it. I went to church 4 weeks in a row when I saw that they replaced the lights.

By the fountain you mean the new jets and system were created for the show, not the whole fountain. And wasn't the stage created for the infamous Epcot circus or was that another structure?

Lord look at how much better shape the fountains were in back then. And if you notice there is a whole row of fountains there that they haven't used outside of that show.

The central shops are located North of the Magic Kingdom. As Raven said, that's where the monster is currently located.

My thoughts on Splashtacular: While it was a very strange show with some significant logistical problems, it was sure nice to remember a time when major shows were relatively marketing-buzz-word-free.

The stage was actually built on top of the fountain and taken back down. The stage reached the perimeter of the top level, it was a silver ring and the water was flowing during the period of time. It did some structural damage to the fountain, I am assuming that was fixed during the splashtacular upgrade. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3pTRxr4U58

They need to fix them bad. On the other hand they are looking much better than they were in 2003 - 2007. I bet thats in priority for the future, the lights had to be fixed, they were so bad there were times where when the fountain would have no light during a show at certain times. I miss the center fountain that shot up about 100 feet during the show.
