Starting 19 October 2009 Speedway will have new height requirements.
1. Single riders must be 54 instead of 52 inches tall. This is because event though 52 inches can reach the pedal, they tend to run out of steam half way through the attraction.
2. Riders must be 36 inches or taller to ride, even with an adult. This requirement is for safety because more and more guests (parents) are placing their small children on their laps or letting the stand on the seat during the ride. Also, more and more guests are telling CMs what they can do with the rules about lap sitting and standing during the ride.
