News New Spaceship Earth Lounge Coming to EPCOT

According to Disney, the Spaceship Earth lounge is set to open "just before summer begins":

For more than 40 years, Spaceship Earth has welcomed visitors to EPCOT as a shining beacon of optimism and hope. A newly announced lounge will be inspired by the stories, shapes and enduring legacy of this timeless icon. Taking inspiration from the geometric sphere, the sleek space to gather and enjoy refreshments will be draped with rich textures and warm metallic tones, giving it a mysterious and elegant intimacy. This new space will welcome its first guests just before summer begins.

So, to be clear, this will be similar to Nomad Lounge where anyone can walk in, hang out, get a beverage (or two)? This is not another DVC Lounge, correct?

This is going in the second floor of Project Tomorrow. Where the old AT&T/Siemens corporate lounge was.

Okay. Hopefully, only early on because of popularity but doesn't stay that way. If it's a forced stand-up bar requiring a LL then it's not worth going in.

I kind of feel sorry for The Zach (tm)... I am sure they pretty much forced him to come up with something to talk about....and since the entire project had gone off the rails there was really nothing to talk about other than concrete and flooring materials.... But how dismal for the most creative entertainment company in the world...to literally have nothing to talk about except the new flooring in a repurposed gift shop space... That is the bigger problem....

The amount of bars at EPCOT is just staggering, though I don’t mind this concept

I can't wait for Spaceship Earth: The Circle of Life, featuring Simba from the live action story. Hopefully there's a meet and greet with a live action Simba in Project Tomorrow.
