New Soarin' Music

Is the new Soarin ride going to have the same music or a different soundtrack? Jerry Goldsmith who composed the music for the original passed away in 2004. Just kind of curious if anyone knows what they are doing for the music.

Go on to YouTube and search 'Soarin over the Horizon POV' and you can watch the whole ride as it is already open at Shanghai Disneyland.

That was my biggest gripe with the old one, how hard would it have been to add them in the first place? Glad they fixed it.

I'm sorry but I'm feeling a little like an idiot. What does this mean?

It means that they added transitions instead of just hard cuts between scenes. And the reason they did it that way before was because they were dealing with large format film, and there just wasn't an easy way to make transitions. Now, in the digital age, it's much easier to put in digital transitions between scenes. Can't wait to see it myself!

"Oh....We somehow jumped to a forest with a river...Well this should be dynamic going over waterfal..."

My oh my I see we are diving up to see hot air balloons........Okay.....What's next...

The jumpcuts really never bothered me. A nice dissolve would have been better, but at the time there was just no easy way to do it.

Sometimes its hard though. Our last trips I struggled not to watch videos of FOF and the The little Mermaid but so glad i didn't. Fof just blew me away!
