it'll be interresting to see which one is more succesful, but being a Phil Collins fan, I'm cheering for Mirror Mirror starring his daughter

I don't know much about the Mirror, Mirror movie, but I'm wondering if it is based on the Gregory Maguire book of the same name. Anyone know? He also wrote Wicked, which the broadway play is based on. He has written several novels from the point of view of other characters in the books. Interesting concept.

According to imdb.com, the screenplay is not listed as being an adaptation of Gregory Maguire's novel, but imdb.com is not always accurate.

Thanks! A preview actually just came on before I started typing this, and it doesn't look connected at all. The book is a bit dark, and the movie doesn't look similar.

I won't bother to see these. Nothing against them, but it isn't for me. Walt's Snow White may have been animated but it has a charm that can never be replaced. And I am not sure I would classify these movies as "remakes" either. If they did another animated version then yes, but I don't think real actors are comparable to drawings

Snow White (1937) is not a story Disney invented.
The 1937 animated film (the first animated version) was the 3rd film remake of the Brothers Grim story.
I have a open mind, seen the trailer, like fantasy and Snow White and the Huntsmen maybe a ok flim.... Do not think it be much more than ok, but I will watch it.

I think Snow White and the Huntsman looks pretty good too. Maybe because the trailer focuses on Charlize Theron who can actually act. Kristen Stewart you only see for 2 seconds and doesn't get to mumble off a single word while playing with her hair.
Mirror Mirror just looks cheap and every other line in that trailer was cringe worthy. The moment the dwarf goes "Snow way!" I mentally yelled "Nope, not seeing it!"
