Only 2 months from today until we'll be in the happiest place on earth! :) :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Okay, now, on to business...
Our last trip to WDW was February 2001. We both know that a lot has changed since then, but we're not really sure what is worth waiting in line for or what. Sooooo, could anyone give us any idea of all the new stuff since our last trip and what are the "must sees" and what we should just walk by without looking twice? Thank you so much, and have a wonderful day! :)

The new JIYI is a must see! I have it downloaded on my 'puter but I'm sure it won't even compare to seeing it in person. Ahhhh... I can't wait! :sohappy:

I'm not so sure that I'd wait for Triceratop Spin... or the Alladin's magic carpets... ugh, too much like Dumbo!

I've heard about in the DS the "one man's dream". Is that something worth going to?

I know also since then that RnRC has opened! That's on the TOP of the list of things to do.

Anything else? Any good refurbs?? Have a grrrrreat night all!

Wow. A CBJ and a Figment fan!! I love that kinda family!! :)

Be prepared to save up. Once Upon a Toy is extremely expensive...I was amazed!! Clue costs 40 dollars...took me by surprise!

I posted a message from a recent trip report in the Resorts section (Magic Kingdom info). There are some new updates on there. :)

Have a nice trip!

If you go to disney.com, there is a place there where you can check what is new since your last visit. You just type in the year and it tells you. I would give you the link, but I´m too lazy to do a search right now... sorry.. :D :animwink:

So you say you wanted new attractions since Feb 2002??

Well, I will do one even better. Let's look at new attractions since the Millenium Celebration began in October of 1999.

Magic Kingdom - Magic Carpets of Aladdin (Dumbo with a tilt), and they brought Spectromagic Back and cutback hours heavily in Sept and Oct (Only open til 6 S-F, till 9 on Sat)

EPCOT - Changed Tapestry of Nations to Tapestry of Dreams (added a few new characters and shortened the parade), Closed Malestrom for refurbishment, reopened Journey Into Imagination with Figment (better than the second one, but the original is still the best)

MGM Studios - Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, the huge Hat, closed the backstage walking tour, opened You, Me, and ABC till Sept.

Animal Kingdom - Primeval Whirl and Triceratops Spin (another Dumbo with a tilt) at Chester and Hester's Dinorama

So as you can see, in almost 3 years they have opened very little and cutback hours seriously, it is no wonder attendance has dropped.

What is "You, Me and ABC"??

Most of the other things I'd heard of, but never that one. What did they take out to put that there and where abouts is it? Thanks :)

You, Me, and ABC is a temporary show housed in the ABC Theater (former home of Superstar Television and Doug Live). It is just a preview (supposedly funny) of the new ABC Fall Lineup. They are trying to get interest in their new shows to help boost network ratings.

Since nobody else has answered your question about "One Man's Dream," I will :) IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH GOING TO! It is so nostalgic and the amount of stuff they have is incredible! Plus, the models of the castles and rides are very neat! Go see the movie afterwards too...its a good film, even if Mr. Eisner narrates it.

One Man's Dream: IMO one of the best attraction created in a while :)

Theres a whole ton of memorabilia, like the Oscars Walt got for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the actual camera used for Steamboat Willie, and Walt's whole office.

SEE IT! (and take your time while you are in there! Dont be pushed through!)
