If you've been to WDW and have multiple MagicBands and go straight to your room you've maybe had trouble getting the band to unlock the door without a visit to the front desk where they scan the band so the system knows what band to look for to unlock room door.
We are so used to this problem that we go straight to the front desk, and my wife did so today when checking in. They found her a room and we received this notification:
We clicked through and got to this screen:
It appears that guests can go through the same process the front desk does without hassle of visiting the desk. I don't know yet it it works because, again, she had already gone to the desk. I'll join family tomorrow at a new resort and see if able to test there.
This is new to us from our last visit in August so if this has existed a while and I'm only now seeing it, I'm sorry!
