Starting December 2 through January 5, look for a gingerbread cupcake with cream cheese frosting, red and green sprinkles, a little red bow and “elf cap” to celebrate the winter holidays.

Heads up! The cream cheese icing on the Christmas cupcake tastes like straight cream cheese with a tiny bit of sugar.

Wait a minute, they use gelatin in their frosting? : ( Guess that means my DW needs to eat them on her own instead of trying to pawn half off on me.
Sadly they do. They use gelatin in a whole lot of products where normal baking wouldn't to keep them from melting/keep its shape. I had to really make my homework before our trip this year. There's a thread here somewhere about exactly which desserts are gelatin free.

Does anyone know (yes, these are the kinds of questions that consume me, night and day) if the peanut butter cupcake is still available at Main Street Bakery during the holiday season? Or do they get rid of the staple cupcakes for the seasonal ones?

I have NEVER had the damn thing and all I want to do is try it. :p

I find it to be slightly odd, as I typically have a chef do a walk through at the buffets just to cover any hidden things (like gelatin) and the only dessert they pointed out as a no-no at 1900 Park Fare was the gummy bears. Wonder if they just didn't know they had it in the frosting as I could have sworn they have mini cupcake type things there.

the Christmas cupcake will be mine! :D If you've ever been during Star Wars Weekends, they have a killer Darth Vader cupcake on those days, too!
