While picking up my Tower 10-miler race packet Sept. 28, I looked around Jostens Arena and wandered into the official race merchandise tent. They had a lot of shirts, red ones, white ones, some that said I successfully ran the Tower 10 miler, etc.
I, like you who ran in the 10-miler or the family 5K, probably picked up your fair share of official race merchandise.
Some were cotton and some were tek shirts. A varied assortment.
In addition to a grey Champion tek shirt that had Stitch on it in Hollywood Tower Hotel bellhop attire, I also picked up a new dark blue and orange WDW runDisney shield tek shirt. Both shirts were priced around $32-$35 with tax. The shield shirts were tucked in the far left wall.
A few days after the race I stopped in Team Mickey at Downtown Disney and looked around to see if there were anything runDisney, since the online store has been kind of limited as of late, well right before the unveiling of the 20th annual WDW marathon weekend. As luck would have it, Downtown Disney marketplace's Team Mickey had for sale this new shirt, but not in a shirt but in a gray sweatshirt. Sizes - S-XXL. Priced $49.99.
A cast member said the new blue runDisney tek shirt and sweatshirt are part of a new runDisney line. The shirts were brought out for the Tower 10-miler.
Cool or better than what is already being offered? I think the addition of the blue WDW runDisney and accompanying sweatshirt is way cool!
