New Rides

Yeah, see alot of people want the stunt show to stay, but then the other majority of the poeple want the Indy Ride to replace the stunt show, and no why put the Ride at A.K.??? Because really you have DINOSAUR so that really could'nt work. I think with a newer track layout & theming it could work.

Reality!! No way I thought Everest was a rumor! :lookaroun

Sorry I couldn't help my self! I do think that Indy would be a waste in A. Like every one said Dinasour is the same ride just a different story and a different look.

I would like them to just rehab the current attractions.

In order to remain relevant, Disney (and all other theme park companies) are eventually forced to do more than just rehabbing current attractions - new ideas and rides must be created. The tourist dollar is only so big, and if a family who has already been to Disney within the last couple of years is deciding between a return visit (where the attractions are the same albeit rehabbed) and a completely different vacation, chances are that the different vacation wins. If there is something new at Disney, however, that same family may very well opt for the return visit.

Obviously, budgets and the economy in general all play into the decisionmaking. Having said that, one thing that is certain is that Disney, as we speak, is creating, imagineering and finalizing plans for new attraction(s) throughout WDW. Those attractions may include good-performing clones from its other theme parks (e.g. Soarin', JTTCOTE, TR) or completely original aattractions (e.g. EE). Any preference would be just that - a personal preference.

I would assume that Disney is currently considering attractions for the 20k area of the MK, another D or E ticket for AK (to help it become a full-day park), a FW attraction (involving WOL) and a new E ticket for MGM. But that is simply an assumption.

What those attractions may be are anyone's guess.

You have a lot better gammar than him, so you pass the test. :D Welcome to the boards!

To be honest, I don't think Indy would be a very good addition to AK. Its a great ride, sure, but AK is all about animals, and the Indy ride really has nothing to do with animals so it wouldn't be a proper fit. And there's no room in Adventureland, so MGM is pretty much the only place for it to go...

But let's not get into that debate again. :D

As for rumored rides I'd like to see come true, I'd have to go with The Muppet Great Movie ride. The ideas for it just sound so good!

I'm still not convinced the the so called "Expedition Everest" is not just an expansion of Blizzard Beach into a theme park. ;-)

He wasn't giving the OP a hard time, it's just that the question about Indy has been asked numerous times, mostly by a poster that keeps getting banned and for some reason coming back under differant names, hence why the name Jay was in there.

As for spelling, you're right this is a discussion board, which is more reason that spelling should be good. I don't mind a few spelling errors here and there as long as I can understand the post. When you have a message board you can only go by what you read, you don't have the aids of tone and gestures like you do when you talk to someone, so if someone has really bad spelling it's hard to understand what they are trying to say. It's not a rule per se, but it is something that any poster should make an effort of doing as a courtesy to those who read their posts.

Hope that clears up why people here are a little picky when it comes to spelling and grammer.

I know all companies need new ideas and I'm not saying they shouldn't put in new attactions. I just made a comment that MK dosen't really need a new attraction at this time because many of there classic attraction need some loving. As for MGM and DAK they could use a new attactions or two (not clones). And Epocot has gotten a number of new attactions recently.

My two cents... It may be old fashioned, but I'd still like to see the Matterhorn Bobsleds built somewhere. Either in the 20k lagoon area or someplace in epcot.

My 4 cents:

Magic Kingdom: Obviously you have the 20k area, they can use that for dark rides and/or a mountain of sorts. We may get an announcement for future plans at Everest's opening, but it's not likely anything (especially a new mountain) will open before 2008. My guess is 2006 and 2007 will be spent rehabbing attractions like Pirates and Haunted Mansion. Here is my guess for an MK timeline:
2006: Pirates rehab
2007: Haunted Mansion Rehab
2008: Bald Mountain
2009: Space Mountain Rehab

Epcot: They gave this park the attention that it needs. Unfortunately it still has a lot of dead areas. Here's hoping the new living seas brings some residual attendance towards Ellen's Energy Adventure. I've heard discussions on here that Energy is actually more likely to be replaced than the WoL pavallion. My Epcot timeline:
2006: Spaceship Earth rehab
2007: 25th anniversary celebration... I have no idea what's in store... perhaps a new illuminations show?
2008: New attraction on World Showcase (Brother Bear Canada ride? Germany dark ride?)

MGM: LMA brought some attendance back over to the Streets of America, but most of the park is bunched around the ToT and RnR area. Lucas himself hinted at a new Star Tours attraction, perhaps we could see something Similiar to SpiderMan here? I also agree that the Muppets Movie Ride was a great idea and I would love to see that as well.
MGM Timeline:
2007: Star Tours 2.0 (I guess that's what we'll call it)
2009: Muppet Movie Ride

Animal Kingdom: The Animal Kingdom has far and away the best possiblities for expansion. With animals playing large parts in many disney movies, a celebration of live animals that can be found in Disney movies would be the best way to go. I love seeing little kids in the Pangani Forest point out the meerkats and call them Timon. They recognize them through Disney movies and as Disney attempts to promote animal health, husbandry and awareness they have to find ways that the World's Youth can freely associate with it. I know they have been in communication with the Chinese government in attempts to acquire Giant Pandas and Asian Elephants. If Disney would be able to coreograph the release of an animated movie with a new Asian Animal Expedition attraction the results could be a tremendous boom in animal conservation. That being said, I can only hope that another animal attraction will find it's way near the everest area. In addition, in order to increase park capacity and nightime events kid friendly dark rides need to be placed around the park. Finally, a night show on discovery river (without fireworks) would make the river more than just a decoration and give it some actual purpose/function.

2006: Everest
2007: Asian Animal Expedition and/or Dark Ride
2008: Asian Animal Expedition and/or Dark Ride

Not really a ride per se but -
I'd really like to see something done with the old Discovery Island. The MYST Island really sounded intriguing.

I think I would love to see Fire Mountain brought back into consideration and built. That whole morphing coaster thing really sounded interesting.

I too would like to see another animal exibit at AK. The sad thing about stuff like that though is people don't understand what the park is all about and just breeze through and hit the major attractions and get out. Take your time, stroll around a little, walk through the Pangani Forest Trail, and Maharaja Jungle Trek. All those little things add to the experience. I used to be one of the people who would hit 3-4 attractions then get out, until last year. I took the time to check out these trails and thought they were awesome. A couple dark rides would be cool to build it up with an E-ticket in the next 4-5 years.

MGM could use the Star Tours update, along with an update of the IJESS, maybe do some stunts from the other movies or mix them all together. The rumored Muppet Great Movie ride would be an excellent addition with Disney aquiring the Muppets this past year, as well as doing something with Roger Rabbit(if they can work something out with Spielburg). A few shows to fill up the empty buildings would greatly help the park out.

Epcot, I like whats going on with the park right now, but do something with WOL. I hate to see attractions sitting dormant, it's such a waste of space. Add a new country to the WS showcase eventually, and bring that Rhine River ride to Germany.

That about sums up what I would like to see eventually. :)

Although I agree that Indiana Jones would be a great ride addition, Animal Kingdom already has DINOSAUR, which is the exact same ride system. So having two rides with the same sensations and effects would not make sense. Personally, I'd rather see an E-Ticket come to MGM without necessarily cloning an existing DL attraction.

I have to agree, sometimes it doesn't even work having the same ride
system in different parks. For example, Star Tours and Body Wars.
I also think many people find the same ride system in the same park
annoying. For example Dumbo and Alladin's Magic Carpets.

I don't really think it's a problem copying ride systems if it's just a minor ride, but people want E-tickets to be new and exciting, not something thats already been done.
