We plan to make investments with a good balance between further enhancements for existing businesses and development of new businesses.
In theme parks, which form the core of our existing businesses, the total park area of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea is roughly the same. The capacity of Tokyo DisneySea when it opened was designed to be about the same scale as Tokyo Disneyland originally had when it opened in 1983. So there is ample space available to expand to the capacity of Tokyo Disneyland at present. We plan to make additional investments at both parks averaging ¥20-30 billion in each fiscal year to introduce appealing new facilities at each park in a balanced fashion. As Walt Disney said, the theme park “will never be completed.” By always offering our guests a fresh, exciting theme park, we believe we will be able to continue to keep them coming back.
The schedule of major additional future investments in Tokyo Disney Resort is as follows.
<FY 2005>
【Tokyo Disneyland】
・”Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters”
(Attraction : Investment 5 billion yen)
【Tokyo DisneySea】

【Tokyo DisneySea】
・”Raging Spirits”(Attraction : Investment 8 mllion yen)
<FY2007>

n addition, we are currently constructing the Palm and Fountain Terrace Hotel (approximately 700 rooms, total investment 9 billion yen), a directly managed hotel for overnight stays in Shin-Urayasu that is scheduled to open in spring 2005.
