New Princess Dining!!!

They took away my two favorite lunch spots, Akershus and Cindy's Royal Table. I'm bummed.

I guess I might change my mind if I have a little princess of my own some day. But I will certainly be checking out the Pooh meals for my little 7 month old Pooh nut. :)

I'm a little disappointed, I loved going there for lunch without all the hoopla that the breakfast has, but can certainly understand them doing it because it will probably take some pressure off the breakfast PS's.

MK does need to have another sit down restaurant for lunch and dinner, there are not enough. I don't enjoy eating hot dogs and hamburgers, but I'm looking forward to trying the noodle place. BTW, last time I was at Cosmic Rays, they told me they stopped selling peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, does anyone know why, I liked having that as a small meal rather than something fried. They need to open up Tony's again for breakfast, I loved eating there on the balcony and watching the people come into the park and ohh, those complimentary cinnamon rolls, yum.

LLT Liberty Tree Tavern is still a great place to eat lunch at MK. Always a good escape from the crazyness and often I make PS that day, or even a hour or 2 before with no problem.

We just ate at 1900 park fare, I didn't think it was that much. But then again I didn't pay the bill. We did have DDE, so that helped but still I thought it was closer to 24 a person. Oh well. The prices keep rising every year.

I almost suspect them of rising prices so people will think the MYW dining plan is a really good deal and do that instead.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

It would help them to get more people to purchase the plan, but it sure does burn those of us who don't buy vacation packages and are not eligible to buy the MYW dining plan. We find it to be a better deal (for what my family does anyways) to buy tickets and book the room separate than with a vacation package.

I agree. It is even wrose for us since we are DVC. There is some talk about allowing DVC to get the meal plan in the future, but I think that is just to passify us. The DDE does help though. I am sure that is why they opened it to AP and gave DVC the AP discount. :)

Wow, that is ALOT for lunch. That is as much as dinner at 1900 Park Fare and Dinner is often a few dollars more then lunch. Breakfest is around 18 a person right? (that is normal).

Still since I am a mother to TWO princesses I guess I will be going some day (much more likely then the breakfest.)

My only problem was I liked doing lunch there before, now it will be much harder to get into to.

:lookaroun
That seems like a lot to me too. Fine for dinner but not lunch. I had been spoiled in the past since it always seemed that we got a character breakfeast included with our room package so I really had no idea how much it cost.

Hmm... I cannot verify that the new princess location is Cinderella' Royal Table. However, I recently spoke with a Disney Dining Representative who told me that Restaurant Akershus at Epcot will start having princess meals all day: same breakfast with buffet lunch and dinner, all with the Disney Princesses!

Looking foward to Cinderella's Royal Table if it's going to happen!

DisneyPhD, appreciate the suggestion. I've been to the LTT for lunch, there menu is okay, not totally thrilled by it, like Cindy's much better. I don't like turkey, hate pot roast and only like ham once in a while. This is also why I don't do the character dinner there. Yes, I'm a real picky eater, but LTT does have great apple butter for the rolls, just have to ask for it and their salads are excellent, however can't just eat that and be satisfied unfortunately.
