New POTC article, new details released

I don't know about anyone else here, but I've wondered why a website that's so devoted to WDW, often has members that say, "DL's PotC is so far superior to MK's" so many times?? WDW's version may be not as long or exciting- but by God- have some pride in it people! If I could choose to ride either, I would pick Florida's because that's where my memories are. I just hate to hear people putting down such a great attraction, in this post and many others.

Im originally from Southern california and grew up going to Disneyland so I can take PRIDE in saying DL's version is better and WDW's is nother more than a pale imitation .

well to give some refinments to the dates. the ride will be closed from March till early april and open back up with no added effects mid april for the Easter crowd. It will then close again to add the new elements and reopen early july.

ugh are you serious? that sounds like they dont have enough time to do anything major to the attraction. I was hoping they would shut it down for a straight 4 months and take the time needed repaint the sets, retheme some areas, move AA's around, add new stuff, test & adjust, etc.

About the opening, for those in the Kingdom, does this final re-opening sound like a hard date or just a goal? The reason I'm asking is that I will be there the week before but was curious if they are possibly using some aspects of POTC2, thus the silmutaneous openings, or if they would possibly do some early soft openings or AP/DVC previews if completed early like other rehabs. I know this is going to be a guess but was just curious about your hunches on the opening.
