New Post Opt-out option

I've seen on other forums an option for vBulletin that allows you to opt-out of certain threads assigned to New Posts.

Is there any way that we could add this option for VMK and Survival threads?

You can change the options under your UserCP, so if you still want to see them you can.

I'd probably use it, but if it doesn't happen, no big.

(Honestly, my morbid side occasionally likes to take a peek inside whatever VMK/Survivor madness is going on that day, so I don't mind having them under New Posts.)

I would really welcome this option. There seems to be more and more pointless and tedious threads these days (just my opinion). Whenever I click on New Posts, it is a chore reading through the pages looking for the interesting threads amongst the rest.

Totally agree! I have no interest in the VMK threads or the Survival ones. That option would certainly simplify things a lot!

I'd like to have that option, too, but like Wilt Dasney, sometimes it's fun to see the train-wreck which is most most VMK threads! (My favorites are the "i need codez plz plz post how do i get frosty magic plz help" threads) :lol:

Yes please! I am tired of the VMK and survivor threads (once in awhile I post to a survivor thread if I'm bored but I don't need to see it as brand new every time I check the boards).

You shouldnt be seeing the game posts appear on the New Post listing. Are you all seeing that?

Steve, I just posted in a Survival Game, then clicked New Posts. Still seeing them come up. :wave:

They show up for me. I assumed that's how it was supposed to be.

Yes, still seeing them...
they don't apear as a post under "member name" find all posts by "member name", but they do appear under New Posts.

It might be possible, when you click NEW POST you actually get this link:

http://forums.wdwmagic.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=10,90,80,99,100,95,96,98

So... it could be modified with your personal preferences for example:

Forum

• 10=trivia
• 90 = survival
• 80=VMK

just hover over any category and you will see the forum number at the bottom of your screen.
