Wow!!! Thanks, Tikiman, that looks SUUUUPER nice! I just wish that the Poly wasn't slowly but surely pricing itself out of my league! :(

Perhaps I'll splurge on a few nights of it when my indentured servitude (i.e. clerkship/articling) is finally over!!

Thanks for the pics....it brings me back. We haven't been since 2002. It's been too long. We usually like to stay in the Figi bldg, which is now being re-done. I hope it's open when we get there on Oct. 4th!! Would you know which rooms are non-connecting on the 3rd floor???

It was a shot in the dark....Thanks for pictures of the different views of all the rooms. I've often wondered what the views would be like if we ever stayed in a different building. Keep those pictures coming!

Excellent work Tikiman2001! I am going to Poly on Aug 22 - 31, so i look forward to staying in NEW rooms!

Adrian

Well remember there will only be 52 new rooms done by then since only two floors of Rapa Nui should be done by then.

Aloha

Steve

Thanks Steve - you're the best!

Though this line disturbed me a bit
Tahiti third floor 9/27-10/09

I'll be at Poly from 9/29-10/2 and I requested to stay in Tahiti on the 2nd or 3rd floor (so we can enjoy the balcony without worrying about the kids escaping the room).

I'm going to get there at about 10 a.m. to check in so I hope they'll at least give me a second floor room in Tahiti. Does the renovation cause a lot of noise or make a mess of the scenery at all?

heh, if you go to mousesurplus.com, right now you can just about buy a complete set of the old Polynesian room furnishings. They have a mirror, chairs, bedspread, curtains and wall sconces.

Aloha, 'Ohana.

I was in Rapa Nui on Sunday with work going on below and it was very loud but not from out side, just in the room in the middle of the day.

That's fine then, we won't be in the room much during the day anyway. I just hope I can still get into Tahiti now with 1/3 of the rooms closed.

I am excited that I am going to the Poly again this summer and for the first time staying in Concierge. I am dissapointed though that Hawaii will be redone when we leave and not before since we are leaving August 24th (Yeah! Next Wednesday!!!) and coming back on Sept 4th. I am really curious what Concierge will be like, but I will soon see. Glad to see you on the boards. We love your site!! :)
