New Pavillions at Epcot?

Hi, this is my first thread so please dont yell at me.

I was just at WDW over Thanksgiving week and I noticed some white wood walls between a few of the Epcot Country Pavillions. I was wondering if any of you knew anything about Disney possibly adding any new countries (Hopefully Spain, Greece or Thailand) to World Showcase.

Yeah, I did hear about the possibility of a new country added to World Showcase. I think I heard that Spain might be coming.....I don't remmeber where, but I did hear that somewhere. I hope it's true:xmas:

First of all, welcome! No one should be yelling at you, feel free to post!

There have been rumors floating around for some time, there are threads here about it. But it looks like from what everyone is saying that there won't be any new pavillions any time soon. They do have that Spain one they add for the Food & Wine Festival, so who knows?

I hope that they add Australia, Greece, or Russia. World Showcase needs a few new nations. Maybe they could bring back Tapestry of Nations then! :cry: BTW welcome to the boards! :xmas:

:xmas: i think that disney need change epcot world showcase lets put my favorate place is Australia. I hope the wiggles will be open the australia because the Wiggles came from Australia Down under.

now for my answer to your query. The construction walls were more than likely them taking down the displays and whatnot from the Food and Wine Festival. If a pavilion was being built, odds are they would announce it before construction began.

Although construction for the Stunt Show began before an official announcement!

Like Rob said, the walls are for Food/Wine and possibly Holidays around the World.

I am confident that it's safe to say that there are no current plans to add a permanent pavilion.

What countries would you like to see added to Epcot?

Me:
1. Greece- Interesting and New
2. Thailand- Southeast Asia Feel
3. Brazil- Tropical
4. Russia-The Have Norway, but not Russia?
5. Kenya- Demolis "Outpost" and put in a real African country.

I doubt they will ever add an African or Asian country since they have stuff like that at Animal Kingdom.

As for Spain or Greece, well I'm listening.

somehow, I don't think Disney wants to pay off OSHA anymore for that parade
