New Path at Everest?

Not that this is some revelatory news that will restore Everest to its original glory, but a few days ago I noticed that a new path had been opened up across from the FastPass entrance, to better accomodate the crowds that congest the walkways. They basically cut a swath right through some landscaping, making a grassy spur track off of the main sidewalk.

Anybody know how long it is been there? Can't be older than a few weeks.

Hmm..That was needed for sure, traffic really bottlenecks in that area.

The fence has always been there, but the removal of bushes/rocks is new. And a bad idea. That grass will get all trampled and die.

Maybe they will create a road after everyone does the grass removal for them.

Yeah I noticed the last time I was there. It seems that families enjoy pulling up, parking their strollers and camp out in the grass whilst other family members ride Everest.
