Rooms fill up fast! Book through June 3, 2010.

Interesting that there are now 2 tiers for the discount amount, based on your length of stay...

I am now not sad at all that I didn't get the passholder pin code last fall. 45% off is fine w/me! :D

Oops, that didn't copy well. Sorry!

Yes
My AP is expired and I've been debating on renewing it - this offer may change that. Too bad I can't log into the passholder site anymore to do some comparison.

Yep, I just saved a couple of dollars myself! I had originally used an email pin code but the AP discount saved me more. This will be my first year buying an AP... so excited!

My problem is that my planned trip spans the end of the current AP discount window in early June. So I can only get it for the first two nights.

But today I called anyway, and the CM was nice enough to try things a few different ways under different discounts, and she found one that was associated with my name (probably something to do with the email PIN code I got) so I was able to get 35% off the entire stay. (Averages out to about $94 a night after taxes)

A couple of quick questions...

I'm looking at buying an AP for the first time. However my next trip isn't going to be until May. Therefore I don't want to purchase the AP until we are much closer to that check-in date so that it will be good until sometime in May 2011, versus buying it immediately today and having it expire in January 2011.

So, if I don't buy the AP until May, yes technically I can book through June 3. But for those of you who have done this before and are AP veterans, do you foresee an availability issue if I'm not booking until then? We just want a week at Pop Century May 27 - June 3.

Thanks!

Two things:

1. You don't need to have an AP in hand in order to book AP rates. So you can call now and make your reservation w/ the AP rate, so long as you have your AP by check in (or voucher- see #2)
2. If you choose to buy an AP now, you will not receive the acutal pass, you will receive a voucher that must be exchanged for the AP in WDW at guest relations. So the clock will not start ticking on your AP until you physically exchange the voucher for an activated pass.

Either way (buying the voucher now online or over the phone, or waiting until you are in WDW) I would book your room now. Pop is usuallly the first value to sell out of AP rates (and pretty much every other discount) Hope this helps!

durangojim? DO CALL - you may actually get a better deal than the PIN gave you. Worst case? Book a new Res, get confirmation, cancel old res... WDW rarely makes you go through that hoop - because, in the end, it costs you nothing and costs THEM a bunch in time...

I did call and was able to get an additional 5% off! It saved us about $ 160 more than before. BTW we live in Oakland Township, small world.
