New Parades?

Good Morning Everyone,

Have a question about Disney Parades. All of the parades have been the same since 2001. Are any "New" Parades coming soon? And if so, What would be there Theme of the new parades?

It just seemed like a long time since Disney has changed there parades. Is it me or have these parades played longer then others in Disney past?

These parades haven't played as long as the Magical Moments Parade did--5 years. However, I would imagine at least two of the parades will be replaced next summer for that celebration--MK and MGM's parades.

From what I hear, The Share a Dream Come True Parade will be around for like 5 more years or so. Probably until like the 35th anniversary or something else major within the parks. The last parade Magical Moments was here for like 5 years so it doesn't surprise me.

8 years for one parade would be absurd, and there is something major happening next year--wdw's 50 years of Disney parks celebration

Yes. Stars and Cars is one of the lamest things I have ever seen...just an excuse to sneak on the Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster with little wait for me.

Well, the car designs are really cool, but they really should have integrated them with other floats.

Have they stopped the Parade of Nations or whatever it's name is at Epcot? Is it going to be replaced with something else. Damn I loved that parade...followed by Illuminations of course.:sohappy:

Tapestry of Nations has been gone for over a year now. I want to see a water parade style remake of it.

What's the latest on the Epcot parade? Are we getting a new one anytime soon? I was hoping for the ImagiNations parade from DLP, if it had to be a character parade.

I've said that parade should come to Epcot for the last 2 years. Rob (MKT) said that the floats are too big to fit in World Showcase.

But I think shortly we will have something in Epcot..As of Share a Dream Come True parade..Like Spectroman2003 said "like 5 more years or so."

I disagree about the floats being to big for world showcase..does anyone remeber the 20th anniversary show at epcot. Those balloones were huge around the world ,and if they had kept them in good condition they could have used them again into new parade floats.

I was never a big fan of Tapestry of Dreams, to be honest. But, I'm not a big fan of parades, in general. As Parades go, Tapestry wasn't bad. And, MSEP and SpectroMagic are OK too, because they're at night. I hated Magical Moments and would never, ever, ever stand still long enough to watch it. I've kinda seen Share a Dream Come True... I've seen it while walking through the parks to do something else, and I actually stood still for a couple of minutes to watch part of it.
All of that said, I think MGM should get a new parade and Animal Kingdom should maybe get another parade, although I've never seen their parade, so I don't know. But, Epcot should not get another parade. I don't think Epcot should have parades. I also don't think Epcot should have a double decker bus filled with characters driving about, but that's just me.

For me the best time for parades was 2000. Magical Moments (my favorite), and the good original version of TON at Epcot.

I loved the Party Gras parade as well as Mickey Mania. (Mickey Mania had the crocodile from Peter Pan walking around. What happened to him??)

Parades @ Epcot

Hey all,

From what I gathered in the past and from talking to people in entertainment, Epcot will never have another parade because of crowding around the parade route in WS. From what I understand Guest Relations was always swamped with people complaining after parades saying they could not get around WS and became stuck in one area until after the parade was over (one of the major reasons I think that tapestry was finally pulled). Epcot was never ment for parades that's why it has (had) such a hard time holding one. If you ever been around WS and Tapestry was on its way on a busy weekend, you know how hard it was to manuver around. As far as new parades in other parks, Share a Dream will remain for a while. When it first premEARed it was scheduled to run for 10 years. However with the unfortunate accident a few months ago and the princess float being pulled for the time being (plus no more show stops) I have a feeling their might be some changes in the near future. As Studios is concerned they need to keep that parade until at least the Stunt show opens up. They need that parade to bring in guests and guests who never been to WDW sure want to see every parade they can!!! After that I look for another "low cost" parade just like the current S&MC to takes its place. At AK I would imagine the parade there would eventually just fold like Tapestry. It's not a park that is built for a parade and you can become trapt in Africa if you time it wrong. Also no parades will be introduced next year for the 50th anniversary, why becuase the new rides are going to start debuting then. Those are the "presents" from Disneyland for the 50th celebration. Look for new parades to come with either WDW 35th or random times through out the next 5 yrs. There I said my peace, hope all is well!!!
