New movies for World Showcase???

Hello everyone - this is a great site.

Has anyone heard or have information about Epcot replacing the movies in World Showcase? Specifically the Canada movie - it is great but I think the movies need to be updated and changed considering they have been around for 20 years.

Rumors have been floating around about an updated film for Canada for quite some time. But don't bet the farm on it happening.

Expect a new film in Canada by late this year or early next year. It is said to be VERY outdated; even Canada itself hates it. Personally, I love the film, but that doesn't mean I know if it's actual or not...

Rumors have it that the new film has already been installed, but I doubt it...However, I am fairly confident that a new film will be premiering at EPCOT very soon. This would be Canada's, I believe, 3rd film.

If they keep the song in the new film, then I think it will be a nice update for the attraction. However, if they turn this into another Wonders of China, then I doubt anyone will go see it.

As far as I know, I don't think they have even done any production on a new film.

Don't know for sure, but I think a new ad, er, film, will be moving into Innoventions as another sponsor turnover will begin soon.

BTW, I don't think there has ever been another film in Canada. The intro still says "Walt Disney Productions."

Pheneix - there was another film in Canada, which lasted shortly in the mid eighties. O, Canada! was the original, and was brought back. I will try to get you more information if I can get it.

I agree; Wonders of China is somewhat tedious. I only go to Impressions and Canada... and, yes, the theme song is my highlight as well! One of the best songs in Future World...
