New Mickey and Minnie heads - how we feeling?

So i'm gonna just put this bit of "insider" info out there. Way back in JUNE I spotted one of the new Mickey heads backstage. I don't want to share exactly where I was so that I can protect the source, but I was authorized to be where I was. This very well could have been for one of the shows that he already appears in, but based on where I was, that leads me to think not. So the question remains, what's the hold up?

At this point Tokyo will get them next.

Wow! Seems sketchy to me. Like they're trying to use the old heads until they rot. Really shows where Florida's show quality standards are in comparison to the others. I know the 25th anniversary is coming up, but I'm shocked to hear that DLP fully transitioned yesterday and Orlando still hasn't.

I know Paris got the new look before WDW but Orlando's show standards are still way way waayyyy ahead of Paris's.

It used to be the case that Orlando used to make costumes and ship them to Paris I don't know if that is still the case now though.

the eyes and cheeks look good. i doubt most people would even notice if they weren't side by side. they look sort of similar to the older Mickey and Minnie.

Probably testing? are they static or they are the animatronic ones?

Very interesting. But if there's anything that I've noticed Paris improved in, it's upgrades. While it's probably just because of the anniversary, Paris got the DL upgrades for PPF and BTMR. Meanwhile, Orlando still hasn't received either of them despite their BTMR being under refurbishment late last year as well. Based on what I've heard, Orlando may have better day to day operations, but they're still in their own little bubble when it comes to large scale upgrades.

TDO is to lazy to role them out. I will speculate it will finally happen sometime this Summer. After all WDW and Tokyo are the last two resorts left that still uses the soon to be old heads (Which debuted in 1988/89 or as early as 1987).

Especially since Paris recently gotten the new heads.

I think the time span for these heads were used at the parks for about 28 years if the rollout counts.
