Hi, I'm a first-time WDW trip planner in advance of my big birthday celebration in September 2017. I was raised in Southern California as a kid, so Disneyland was always a favorite family vacation destination for us. When I finally got my driver's license, my first solo driving trip was to the Disneyland Hotel so I could soak up all the atmosphere, catch the Dancing Waters show, and hope that someday I'd earn enough money in allowance or was good enough to get an Annual Pass. I eventually did when I got to college and going to Disneyland for dinner and catching Fantasmic was a favorite past time.

When they started taking applications for Cast Members in advance of the Disney's California Adventure expansion in 2000, I applied almost immediately. Of our four-person group interview, only me and another person were selected. Because I had admin assistant experience and computer skills, I was recommended to work offiste at the Walt Disney Travel Company in Anaheim rather than in the parks because it paid more and I was better equipped to do well at it. I ended up working as a CSR for the WDTC for two years, participating in the Candlelight Processional once and also taking part in a DLR-wide Cast Member talent show where I sang and danced on stage at the Hyperion Theater as well.

One of my favorite things to do in-between phone calls was to surf the Disney Intranet site and look at all the WDW material. It fueled my desire to take an adults-only trip to the World, and after many years, I'm finally able to afford one.

My special trip needs are:

* My spouse isn't such a huge Disney fan and he also is physically incapable of waking up before 11 am without being super cranky, so I'll be on my own for every morning of our trip.
* I'm being treated for a medical condition that results in me having difficulty walking long distances or standing for long periods of time, so I'll be renting a portable ECV from an offsite company. (I promise not to be one of THOSE ECV users.)

I look forward to interacting with y'all as I plan my trip and I look forward to having a wonderful time.

P.S. I changed my avatar pic to be one from the last DL trip I took which was in 2010. That's way too long ago for me.
