I've seen a lot of posts here recently about Disney Resort areas and realized I had never postsed mine. I have not location set for it, but most likely it would be international, if anywhere. So far I have the Magic Kingdom, Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's Storybook Kingdom (the one park I have posted), and am working on an EPCOT/ Disney Sea style park currently called "Wonders of the World". I'll start with MK.
Main Street U.S.A:
Main Street will be similar to the one at WDW, but with a somewhat different syle (a little more stylized and less New England). Here are the attractions in the area:
* Magic Kingdom Railroad (Steem train ride around the park, includes stops at Frontierland and Mickey's Toontown).
* Main Street Vehicals (Standard trollies, jinties, and other forms of transportation usually found on Main Streets)
* Main Street Gallery (Features different exhibits showcasing artwork and artifacts of Disney's past that change throughout the year)
* Main Street Gazette (Glorified photo pick up and exhibits based on Main Street's newspaper office. Expect to see reporters in here looking for the daily scoop on Main Street)
Adventureland:
Adventureland is a collection of many different advenures from around the world. Guests encounter an Arabian Bazaar, a Polynessian Village, an African Safari Lodge, and Caribbean Fort. Here are some attractions:
* Magic Carpets of Aladdin (Similar to the one at WDW or DSP, but with slightly different theming placing the atraction into Courtyard enclosed on three sides)
* Swiss Family Treehouse (A probable addition, but not definate. Looking for something a little more disabled-visitor-friendly)
* Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Managment (Same version as WDW)
* Jungle Cruise (New Version of the classic ride with some different show scenes including encountering an archelogical dig site in an Asian Temple and missing others such as the headhunters)
* Prideland Safaris (Lion King attraction I have already posted on this board. Try searching for it you want to know more)
* Pirates of the Caribbean (Similar to the WDW version)
Frontierland:
Like Adventureland, Frontierland is a hodge-podge of themes based on the American Journey.
* Big Thunder Mountain
* Splash Mountain
* Country Bear Jambory
* Slue Foot Sue's Musical Review (Lively dance hall show starting the girlfrind of ledgenday cowboy Pecos Bill, a gaggle of dancing girls, a couple of rowdy cowboys, and the self-proclaimed "world's greatest salesman")
* Pocahontas Island (Similar to Tom Sawyer's Island, this play area recreates 17th Century Jamestown, Virginia and includes a fort, Indian Village, Enchanted Glade play area, and caves to explore)
New Orleans Square:
Romantisized version of "the big easy".
* Haunted Mansion
* Great Moments with Mr. Lincon
* Dixie Belle River Boat
Fantasyland:
A charming French Village based on the one from the classic film "Cinderella" is the land for the young and young at heart.
* Peter Pan's Flight
* Sleeping Beauty dark ride
* Mickey's Philharmagic
* Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
* Fantasia: A Musical Journey (dark boat ride simialr to It's A Small World)
* Storybookland Cannal Boats and Casey Jr. Circus Train
* Cinderella's Golden Carousel
* Mad Tea Party
* Dumbo the Flying Elephant
* Cinderella's Suprise Celebration
Mickey's Toontown:
This land is similar in scale to DL's version with less of a Roger Rabbit theme.
* Mickey's House
* Minnie's House
* Goofy's Wiseacre Farm
* Donald's Boat
* Chip and Dale's Treehouse
* Gadget's Go-Caoster
* Toontown Hall of Fame
Tomorrowland:
Sci-Fi themed land based on a city of the Future
* Space Mountain
* Sticth Encounter (Simialr to Alien Encounter at MK)
* Tomorrowland Convention Center (Interactive Exhibits)
* Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
* Astro Orbiter
* Autopia (The "highway of the future", which includes more theming than most other versions)
* TIme Machine Attraction (CAVE technology attraction similar to PoC at DisneyQuest which lets guests command their own time machine
Also icludes two parades, the Magic Kingdom Memories Parade (day time parade), Main Street Electrical Parade (night parade), and a new veriosn of Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks.
Any thought, ideas, or sugestions?
