New land MK Brainstorming Thread

Just a quick question, is "Neverland" going to sprout off of Pixie Hollow, which I believe would be ideal, or the Little Mermaid area, or both. If it were to be TLM or both, with the current FL expansion plans, I'm not sure that would work. I suppose you could change layouts if you wanted to, but I think it would probably work better just having it come off of Pixie Hollow.

http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=493832

According to the FL concept art, Neverland is currently going directly behind TLM. I would suggest maybe moving it to the right, having it go behind Pixie Hollow and maybe even the TLSpeedway, which would probably give you even more room for the mini-land, and you wouldn't have to worry about Big Ben perspective issues clashing with TLM.

Do you guys mind if I join in? I guess it's a little late to ask, seeing as I've already put in my two cents, but I figured before I post anything after this it'd probably be polite to ask.

No problem comics i like your ideas :)

What IF.. we move the Neverland idea where Tomorrowland indy speedyway is (like comcs said) and haved PPF as the "gateway" between London and Neverland. But not really... Here is my ideas...

You can ONLY reach Neverland from Fantasyland/London by boarding a makeshift "skyway" type vehicle shaped like the pirate ship, (similar to PPF), but instead of in air like teh Skyway did, it is just an attraction that has its entance in Fantasyland/London then exit in Neverland.

Of course you can walkt over to neverland, but it isjust better theming as if it is the 'only' way. Kind of like Neverland is the EXIT SHOW SCENES, or games of the attraction. Does that make sense??

Sure you can join.

Well, okay i like the idea of having it in the Speedway. The whole pirate ship idea could really work as well! Let's not have it too high though, it'll ruin the rest of the park's theming. So I think it should go behind the Pixie Hollow Tree, and around Dumbo's Circus into Neverland. You land on a station themed to a harbor, the harbor being where Captain Hook and his ship is at. I love this. Let's go with this idea, now that we have more people. Let's continue the imagineering! :D

EDIT: BTW, I'll have a whole laydown on how the whole entrance to Neverland and how London and TLM and PH will work. But now, sleep. It's like 1:11AM here in Kissimmee.

Thanks for letting me join you guys!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm thinking that Neverland is going to be very similar to Tom Sawyer Island, but with rides.

I LOVE the idea of having a pirate ship skyway, especially if you were to have it become an extrodinarilly detailed version of Peter Pans Flight without the characters included. I'm thinking it'd be really cool to have it become the TTA of Neverland. I can imagine flying over London (similar to the attraction), then an extrodinarilly elaborate version of mermaid lagoon, followed by The Jolly Roger and a sort of pirateland (similar to the movie "Hook"), and finallly ending in the Lostboy's treehouse (which I think would be cool if it also borrowed from the movie "Hook", maybe it could even be similar to the Swiss Family Robinson's Treehouse), I would suggest not having the ride too high off the ground like the Skyway was though.

As I said, I guess I'm sorta imagining a Neverland version of Tom Sawyer Island, and the Flying Pirateships would be similar to the TTA. It would not only serve as a way to get into Neverland, but it would also be a sorta tour of Neverland. I don't know it's a good idea to have that be the only way to get into the "land" though. Also, every place you'd see on the tour you would be able to further explore once off of the attraction, but by "flying" the pirate ship into Neverland, you get to see added details, nooks, crannies, and rooms made exclusively for the ride. That way there's an incentive to ride and not just walk into the land...

I'm just still really confused about location. Did you guys want the Neverland area to take the place of the TLSpeedway? My only concern with that is theming. Obviously NL and TL are going to clash more than FL and TL currently do... I was thinking, as Parksfan1 said, the land should go behind Pixie Hollow and Dumbo.

Off Topic: I would love to see the TLSpeedway removed and replaced with an Alice in Wonderland area closest to FL, and an Martian Forrest/Zoo on the TL side. I think having the oversized plants from Alice in Wonderland sorta blend in with oversized Martian plants would work phenomonally if done right. I'm not sure how much space there is in that area though... Anyway, that's a project for another day. Lets get back to Neverland for now...

No, thank YOU for joining...:wave::sohappy:

Now, location could be like this in the following illustration... Tell me if you agree with this or what you think could be tweaked...

Can you please elaborate? lolz. It is going to be a skyway style attraction about twice the size of the TTA. I want it to not be seen from anywhere else in the park. We'll use trees to prevent this.

Forget that area I think they should build Space Mountain 2.0 in the area next to/behind the original. How cool would it be to have both rides in one park? I know its not likely but I'm a dreamer I guess.

I also think they should have an Incredibles ride that takes place on the mysterious island. Guests could ride in the pod that carries Mr. Incredible and Mirage to Syndrome's Headquarters and the story could revolve around the guest being chased by the giant robot and then being saved by the Incredible family somehow. I think it would work best as a roller coaster, but I'm no Imagineer.
