Things have changed a little since my families last trip in 2018. Many of you are currently "up-to-date" on the ins and outs of what's going on overall at WDW. Please give me any tips, pointers, or general information you think might be important to someone who will be going in June of 22. We will be staying at AK lodge 7 days but only 4 days of park tickets. Of course I will be doing my usual research over the next 6 months, but there are so many of you who are smarter than me that already know, and may want to share what you know. I am looking forward to all you can share. Thanks in advance.

Honestly I think its pretty hard to hand out tips for a year from now depending on what type of tips you're looking for as so much has been fluid lately.
For example there's currently no FP+ or dining plans, a number of resorts aren't open still, park hours are still minimal, park hopping is only allowed past 2pm, you have to have park pass reservations, one of the water parks still isn't open, just recently they announced fireworks will be back at MK and EPCOT July 1st, as of June 15th vaccinated people only have to wear a mask on transportation etc.

MANY things could change or not change between now and then. What I suggest is just keeping yourself in the loop with those changes and if you have specific questions feel free to ask and you'll get the most up to date answers.

well, you see you gave me alot of information i was needing right there. I'm just asking in general some of the things that have changed and I realize they may change back. People like you know what's up though and can give good info to people like me. As things change, people can add info to this about the changes. Thanks for the info, I plan on trying to keep up. For example 3 weeks ago when i was looking to plan this trip AK wasn't even open. Now it is and i have a reservation. I hope dining comes back before the trip too.

One of the changes we had to face was mobile ordering. Disneys is increasing this feature in more places so I'd say look up how to do it so you can familiarize yourself with it. Before going to a park, figure out where you might want to order from and the time you want to enter the info and get your food. The demand during a more crowded time can make for longer delays in getting food.
If you are a SW fan and want to get a boarding group for RotR, you MUST be ready before 7am to watch the time and be ready to click on exactly as it turns 7am. My DS used his apple watch to ensure his timing was spot on. We got to ride multiple times. Being just seconds after 7 am and you will lose out.

Things are literally changing by the day, if not hour. I'd just keep an eye on the various news threads- mainly watching for info on dinning plans coming back, bringing back entertainment and what they are going to do about fast pass. Other than that, I'd just wait and watch for the next 4-6 months. By then things should be just about back to normal- at least whatever the new normal is going to be- and you can really start planning. You might want to start thinking about your park reservations and which park you want to start at each day, since they say that's sticking around for the foreseeable future.
