New Indiana Jones Video

Well, I have done it again, another ride video. This time of Indiana Jones Adventure. This video takes you through the camp, into the temple, and thru the ride.

Yes, the camera bounces - there is no excaping that on this ride. However, I think the video came out well. You will have to be the judge.

If you are familiar with #Disney-Central or Newsgroups I would like to ask that you download it from one of those spots. If you are not familiar with them, then you can grab it from Visions Fantastic.

Please be sure to download it to your computer to prevent excess bandwidth drainage.

Thanks and I hope you enjoy it.

Picked it up off Visions Fantastic this morning. I judged and I like it - the ride video is very crisp! Did you alter the bit rates for the first few minutes on the exterior shots? It looks like you saved minimal compression for the darker interiors. Neat.

I`m looking forward to your `land` edits - did you mention Adventureland was next? Hope so - it seems you are doing for DLC what I did for DLP and am (slowly) doing for WDW. Its really nice to see somewhere and get a feel for the general `layout` of a place I will probably never get to.

Yes, I have a whole series on Adventureland - pieces to be released over time.

DLC = ? I am thinking you mean Disneyland California; meaning the whole place. I am more familiar with calling it DLR - Disneyland Resort.

But to answer the general question - yes. I hope to sometime create a 'vacation guide' video that puts down anything Disney has ever produced. I mean come on, it is our 50th anniversary and we get a whole 8 minutes video.

Your DLP is exciting especially when you factor in that Disney doesn't even have a video for potential vacationeers. All you can get from them is a brochure.

Amazes me sometimes.

He he... sorry...you mentioned this before. Yes, DLC is DLR. Simply because to us over here its Disneyland California, not Disneyland Paris. I guess properly it should be reffered to as DLR. But then we also have DLRP too (Paris)..... argh!

And I was hoping you would get round to a Californian version of my DLP videos someday. If someone was going to do it, I wanted it to be you. :)

I'm actually attempting to do something like that using the ride videos of Visions Fantastic. However, I think it would just mainly be for the sake of tranfering those ride videos to a DVD the same process I used on your Paris videos: Connecting the computer to TV and recording iit on a DVD recorder.

interresting method .. I would have made all the stuff on the pc .. smooth nonlinear progress with menue options (and tons of other features)

@ RU42 .. yeah videos are nice ... but I think you made use of illegal onride lightning

I only did it because the AVI format wouldn't allow to have all three parts on one disk. And there are chapter stops and simple menus from the recording, though chapter divisions are every 10 minutes. Going to eventually put the Travel Channel specials on DLP on their and I'll be good to go on it.

that's why you convert the stuff to mpeg2 so all 3 parts should fit on one dvd and a small menue ...ahh well if your method works as well why change it :)

Didn't you use your camera light on the bugscene? there is a lit spot right where your camera points at

Ah, I see what you are talking about. Nope, no lights were used durign the filming of the ride. Everything you see is exactly as you would see it during the ride.

I did use an external light during the queue. I was going for that exploring with a flashlight effect. Not sure if that is what I got but it looks good anyway.

I thought that - then realised it could be IR if a nightshot mode is used - it would appear like a spotlight, but is invisible to the eye. I wouldn`t think RU would use an external light!

Well, I don't have the means to convert it on my iBook, so I just went with that method.
