New (here) - Chest-mounted cameras allowed?

I'm considering picking up a chest-mount system for my mobile phone so I can record some ride experiences if I want. Are such things allowed on the rides? If you're not familiar, the product I'm considering is the Velocity Clip chest mount.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not aware of any restrictions on cameras mounted close to your body.

I heartily recommend a safety strap just in case the mount gets loose.

Just realize that while it may be generally acceptable, any body-worn mount that looks like it might interfere with restraints or get hung up on any part of the ride vehicle or potential evacuation equipment/zone might result in a denial. Disney reserves the right to inspect and reject anything you carry into the parks.

I still see a lot of guests riding with cameras hanging around their necks by straps with the camera body hanging close to their chests. Your camera mount would be a lot more stabilized. As mentioned above, there are some ride restraints that might interfere with where your camera sits and even limit your filming. I'd chance getting it and using it where I can, which would be the majority of your trip, with the few instances of being told it has to be packed up. Looks easy enough to clip on or off if you have to remove it.

Instead of a mobile phone, I think an "action camera" like a GoPro would be better:

It is small and compact, with great video quality. It also has a lot of great accessories!

As long as it's strapped on/attached to your body it's fine. You technically can't film Flight of Passage but I saw some who has cameras strapped on their forehead or wrist and they were filming it.

The velocity clip is fine but maybe cover the chest straps with a jacket or something so it won't look so obvious aside from front.
