New Haunted Mansion Gift Shop!

Just got back from WDW today, and was at MK for extra Magic hours last night. Wow! it was nice to get ride of all of the people! anyway, I was talking to a CM about pins, and we started talking about Nightmare before Christmas pins, and Haunted Mansion pins. He then asked if I wanted to know a rumor he had heard backstage. I said sure, and he said, it won't be happining for about two years, but Haunted mansion is set to get it's own gift shop, out side the exit, on the left by the grave stones and by the pet graves they have out there. Just a rumor I guess, but from a CM so you never know. I would love it, because they only have that lame cart out there now, and it's down around the corner from the ride. I know I need some more Nightmare stuff and mansion stuff. But he said we probobly won't be seeing anymore Nightmare pins. Don't really kow why, it's big with us teens.

P.S- He also said the Indiana Jones getting the cut for the ride is a big lie, he said there was no plan for that at all.

They had that one store that used to sell Jams and now sells houseware right at the exit of HM set up as a HM store when the movie came out. I thought it was nice to have an actual inside area to buy HM stuff without having to purchase it off that cart (which has been moved FAR from the attraction). I was surprised to see they didn't keep it a HM store. I think using that would be a lot wiser than building a new gift shop at the exit (there's no need for another gift shop at MK :lol: ). I do like the idea though of a real HM gift shop.

^^That's the store I was thinking of...Yankee Traders. Last time I was at MK that store was no longer a dedicated HM/Nightmare Before Christmas/Villian store. Rather part of it was selling the Disney housware stuff you can find on Main Street.

Last year, the Yankee Trader store STOPPED SELLING HM/Villian stuff. Why? Because all the home stuff that used to be in the Frontierland Trading Post moved in to the Yankee Trader store instead. Frontierland Trading Post became a pin store. Leaving only the cart. And the cart moved from right near the exit of HM, over by the Libery Square Boats instead. (In what was a designated smoking area.)

So...
Frontierland Trading Post was kitchen now pins.
Yankee Trader was HM/Villians stuff now kitchen.
Cart was outside HM exit, now over by the boat.

Which still leaves us sans a HM/Villian store in or around HM. Make sense?

The cart for the Haunted Mansion product tends to rotate between outside the HM Exit Gates (next to the Yankee Traders store) and before the Riverboat queue if you're walking towards Frontierland. Must be weather or season related?

Why would they wait 2 years? If Disney wants a new gift shop, they can usually knock one out in a month or so. I don't see them waiting 2 years to start profiting. :veryconfu
