New Game Idea

I've been thinking about what Disney is really missing since my last trip in Feb. As I looked through the few park-related software releases WDW has had I had an idea. It may not be that great or original but it's mine. It's my squishy.

A PC game incorporating the graphics detail and full, non-linear movement of a Grand Theft Auto, True Crime:Streets of LA or similar games (obviously not the content). A program that would allow you to walk through the Magic Kingdom (other expansions to follow) and ride the rides and see the sites we all miss so much. I want a game that lets me explore every inch of the park as though I were there. I want to see shows (cut scenes would suffice). I want to ride every ride and look around while it moves. I want to see wishes from anywhere in the park (three or four choices of viewing locations might do). I want to see people in the park and gift shops selling goods. They could link directly to an online site selling park exclusives, ride merchandise and new items to game owners.

There could be even more. Cut-scenes for attraction entrances and lines. Travel planning at the resorts along the monorail, also connecting you online, as well as buying park tickets in advance at your very own TTC.

Let me know what you think. It would certainly help with my withdrawls. I could stop buying every home movie I see on Ebay, lol.:hammer:

Actually, to include it as a sort of planning video for the parks would be a great idea. You can get an idea of what attractions you actually want to try when you arrive there. Parents could get a peek at what might and might not be appropriate. The only downside would be a lack of the sensations you feel (i.e. being pushed back in your seat on the launch for RnRC) so you would not quite get the full effect. It could be similar to the "Army of One" program that the Army used for its recruitment efforts.

I've thought about this before, and I think it would be a great idea. I would also like to see it contain an Update feature that would allow you to download any major changes to the parks and have them inserted right into the program, so it wouldn't be in danger of getting outdated.

Just to add some replay value for folks who might get tired of walking around and looking at things, there could also be an adventure mode where you would have to travel across property completing different missions consistent with the feel of the parks.

I'd also like the option to explore the parks after closing (with everything operational, of course). Heck, I'd want it all from this thing. :D

America's Army?

To be honest I've played the game, and from a mental aspect it is extremely accurate. The only major difference is that you don't really get shot.

I had thought about some sort of quest, forgot to include that. I had been thinking more along the lines of hidden Mickeys but I doubt Disney would want to acknowledge them at this late stage. I also like the idea about updates as the park changes. Maybe an expansion could also include older versions too (1971, 1981 etc.). That would give us all a chance to go back to our beloved Alien Encounter.....sniffle.

That's the one. I've never played it myself, but a friend of mine works for Boston MEPS and told me about it.
