They've used that phrase before though...wasn't it for princess and the frog? Or tangled?

This trailer looks better than the previous. Still unsure of the movie.

Search in both trailers that phrase is never mentioned. For the princess and the frog one they did show the previous animated classics to showcase they were continuing the tradition of 2d fairy tales.

Maybe it is just me....but i find this film is giving me the serious impression of being just a 'Tangled' clone.
'Tangled in the Snow'....

The marketing of it seems similar.
The main characters look and act similar ( CGI as well as the character designs )
The 'fun comedy for adults' vibe..aka 'hip factor' feeling.
The title even suggests a similarity. What was once a 'princess sounding movie' was changed to 'not alienate the boys'..thing...

Again, maybe it is just me.
'Tangled' was not a hit for me.

I have little interest in seeing this.
The snowman i find incredibly annoying..like most characters assigned to the sidekick 'comic relief' role.

Meh...

I DO however like the reindeer. He is the one thing that has my interest.

I just wanna say if comedy musical adventures bother you then these films should be on your annoying list
Beauty and the beast
The little mermaid
Aladdin (Filled with adult throwbacks to pop culture at the time.)
Hunch back of notre dame
the lion king
Mulan
princess and the frog
Tangled
The reason why I am defending the film is because this isn't a new formula, everyone keeps acting like something radically happened, Disney has stuck more or less to the same formula of humor and story for a lot of their films if not all of them, its what generally makes a "family" feature. You can have problems with the marketing that's fine, but that is how they are going to market their fairytale films from now on due to tangled's success same goes for the title, Tangled was once Rapunzel As Frozen was once the Snow queen. As for this being a "Tangled in the snow" It couldn't be further from it. Major different plot elements, different setting, same artstyle sure, but that is low in part due to how they want their cgi fairy tales to look. Wreck it ralph also uses the same art style. Yet not a single complaint. I think people saw they were doing another fairy tale, one with little information released about it other than an early character design, and they decided to jump on it.

This isn't just a re-skin of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider of “Tangled” despite similar character designs -Inside the magic

The advertisers are trying too hard....This is like saying Pirates of The Caribbean 5 is a knock out film as fun as Meet The Deedles..
That would be a lot, except this isn't pirates five, its an original animated feature. One that they are claiming is as epic as the lion king.

I know pirates is happening, I am just saying if they are willing to say this is on that level, and this is a film not a sequel or spin off, then there is a level of quality they are proud of in this film. One that they feel reaches the level of another epic!

But what about The Black Cauldron, Oliver & Company, Atlantis The Lost Empire, Meet The Robinsons, Treasure Planet, Tarzan, The Great Mouse Detective, Emperors New Groove, Chicken Little, Brother Bear, Home on The Range, Bolt, And Planes...Just because the advertisers Hooked, lined and sunk you in with the idea that it's the "Greatest Adventure since the Lion King" IMO I don't see it that way and see it as many as the other Disney films A good animated film and that's it..

Well that's where i guess personal taste comes in, I was hook line sunk when I heard indina menzel would be voicing and singing for a character in an animated film. And when my favorite Broadway writers from avenue q and the book of morman would be scoring and writing the music for the film. That tag line is what is making me feel confident that the end product could be a classic. Like I said its a heavy thing to say, and many others who have previewed the film have had nothing but praise to say. Also those films were never once compared with the lion king so I don't really understand your point? The film isn't out yet, but you reduced it to the quality of planes, kind of an early assumption given the evidence that we have against that.
