Here are the pics I took today. There not that great because I was in a hurry and literally took all these in a matter of 1 minute, but one thing is interesting, it looks like they are about to pour cement to lay the foundation for the Mine Train (picture 7). I know Steve posted an amazing gallery of FLE photos today, but here's some more from a different angle.

Whoops just noticed I put the pics under news and rumors and not FLE forum, sorry about that mods.

We were at MK this past weekend. I gotta say, until you see the construction project in-person you have no idea just how huge the area and the scope of this expansion is. The photos are great but man, nothing does this addition justice until you see it up close. Can't wait for it to open. We are going back in July for a whole week and looking forward to seeing/experiencing whatever is open at that point in time.

Thanks for the pics!

And yes, it is really amazing to see it in person. To see it from the original Dumbo is quite impressive.

I cannot wait until it is open and we'll have a brand new area to walk around in and explore...

thanks for the pics.

can't wait to see it again in January.

probably a little early for the walls to come down, but it should be fun anyway.

Thanks for posting pics up here frequently, Scuttle! They're great!

The foundation work for the Mine Train coaster has really come along. Construction on the coaster started long before I thought it would. A LOT of work is still to be made obviously, but could it mean it opens in late 2013 instead of early 2014??

That is one massive pit they've got excavated for the Mine Train - I like it! :) And its great to see the scaffolding coming down form the Beast rock work; it really helps you get a sense of the forced perspective.

Thanks for the pics!

I know! When I took these first set of pictures last week I couldn't believe it. It's really the first thing that I have seen in any one of the construction photos the last 1 1/2 years that has really got me excited. These pictures don't do it justice, you guys are right, especially the angle I was looking at when I took these pictures. When you look at this view in person you really get a sense of how HUGE this expansion really is.
