Disney Parks Talent Casting is seeking singers for our Broadway-caliber, theatrical production ofMickey and the Magical Map, opening in Summer 2013 at the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park.
The wise sorcerer, Yen Sid, tells us of a wondrous map—one unlike any other— with the power to take dreamers to any place imaginable. But when young apprentice, Mickey Mouse, attempts to paint the map’s one unfinished spot, he stumbles into the mystery of the map’s magic! Mickey and the Magical Map brings together live performers, popular Disney Characters and theatrical wizardry to take the audience on a surprising journey through fantastic worlds of music, color and imagination.

Roles:
POCAHONTAS: Female to play 17-22. Strong musical theater belt with easy transition to a mix. Be able to portray a strong character with excellent acting abilities as well. Model the character from the film. Additionally, gospel style part singing is required. Range: "G" below middle "C" - Chest voice (belt) to "C" above middle "C", mix to "Eb" a minor 10th above middle "C".
RAPUNZEL: Female to play 16-20. Strong musical theater mix. Be able to portray a youthful character with excellent acting abilities as well. Model the character from the film. Additionally, gospel style part singing is required. Range: Solid "G" below middle "C" - Chest voice to "C" above middle "C" or higher, smooth transition to mix to "Eb" a minor 10th (or higher) above middle "C".
MULAN: Female to play 16-19. Strong musical theater mix. Be able to portray a strong character with excellent acting abilities as well. Model the character from the film. Additionally, gospel style part singing is required. Range: "A" below middle "C" - Chest voice to "D" an octave above middle "C" or higher, mix to "Eb" a minor 10th (or higher) above middle "C".
TIANA: Female of African heritage to play 18-22. Strong musical theater, jazz and gospel style belt with transition to a mix. Be able to portray a strong character with excellent acting abilities as well. Model the character from the film. Gospel style singing and ability to ad lib in that style is required. Range: "G" below middle "C" - Chest voice (belt) to "F#" an 11th above middle "C" (or higher), flip to head voice to "G" a 12th (or higher) above middle "C".
FLYNN RIDER: Male to play 18-24. Strong contemporary pop/musical theater voice. Be able to portray a youthful but confident, masculine character. Model the character from the film. Additionally, gospel style part singing is required. 2nd tenor - Solid Bb a 9th below middle "C" or lower to "Ab" a 6th above middle "C".
