Photos of the construction update of New Fantasyland taken in Magic Kingdom on October 1, 2011. Some photos are over the wall and show old Towntown/new Circusland and others are from the view of (current) Fantasyland and show just how far work has progressed.

It's amazing how much you can see from the park now over the wall of the work being done. It's looking really great and a lot of detail is starting to take place. It makes me very excited to see it complete.

What is that gateway to the right of the photo...is that leftover from the old toontown that has not been cleared (I don't remember it) or some sort of castle wall thing that was just built (not at all how I imagined it would be)?

Thanks for the photos - that's so cool that you could be there for the anniversary!!

Thanks for sharing the photos! Was there today (only for a short time) but noticed that they have removed some of the scaffolding for the rock work to the left of belle's cottage. You can't see in the photos but if anyone else took pictures in that area today...please share!

Well, the Great Goofini and the Dueling Dumbos are going to be in that area. So it's probably structure for one of those. edit to add Ah, here's an overhead shot and yup, it's Dumbo: http://static.attractionsmagazine.com/wp-uploads/2011/09/Dumbo.jpg

Ironically, we were running late so we missed the parade and speech (got there around 10:30am) and then Love got sick so we wound up leaving before Wishes. LOL So we missed all the good parts! We still had a nice time in spite of the difficulties and I just wanted a day free from doctor's appointments before surgery on Wednesday.

OMG amazing!! I cant wait to see it finished and in person! thanks for sharing!
You're welcome! It's really getting quite impressive.

I suppose I'll see for myself when I visit the park in December, but...does the forced-perspective thing really work for Beast's Castle? In some pics, it kinda does look full-sized, but in others it looks like a Barbie Dream Castle toy. I hope it's convincing in person...

I was thinking the same thing. If it's not looking good I'd much rather it not be there. Makes it seem like a "Fake" park.

A lot of it has to do with the scaffolding and vehicles ruining the perspective.

Still better than what I did yesterday!!! Hope he's OK - he'll need to be on nurse duty come Wednesday. If I don't "talk" to you in another thread...best of luck. Looking forward to the positive report when it's all over. :)

Hard to say right now. Without seeing the finished project and with so much else going on with the construction and things not yet finished, it does look a little weird currently, but I imagine it'll work when it's done just dine.

Thanks! He's off Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of next week to see me to the hospital, bring me home Thursday and be with me for the first few days. His parents, my mom, my sister - they're all coming to the hospital too so he'll have plenty of company while waiting. 3 days and counting!

Thanks for the pictures. Trying to keep up with all the construction is fun. I had a few on my blog but nothing like these. Great job, keep it up :).
