New Fantasyland Map

Just so you guys know, these maps aren't currently in distribution at WDW yet. Not sure where the image came from but you can't get your hands on one yet and probably won't get one with the full picture of the expansion until it's all done. IMO anyway.

why would it be an opinion if it's a fact they aren't being distributed? o_O

i think these are fan-made maps. they look like fakes tbh

It seems to me that the Fantasyland maps are indeed real, just not out yet. They have to design them at some point before they get mass printed. I don't think it's all that surprising to see the design exist at this point in time so they are ready for November-ish.

Obviously, the full park maps are photoshopped in and not real. The leak was only of Fantasyland.

The fact that they're not out yet is true. My opinion was that we won't see them out in that form until the Fantasyland is totally complete (like including the coaster). Sorry for the confusion!!

OH! omg i'm so sorry i feel like jerk :(

the maps update when there's new additions, so even if the coaster's not done by the time BOG and TLM are out, it won't matter. those additions will be displayed on the map, and they'll just have a patch of green covering the Mine Train coaster.

Those two at the bottom were just me adding that image to the older maps. So its not real, its just an idea of what the map would look like, but i do believe that the little image is real.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Mine Train on the late Fall maps with "coming soon" labelled. I could see just green as well, mind you, but that big area would be walled off in the middle so it's more conspicuous to visitors so there might be conceived value in promoting the future addition.

The Go-Karts need to go.

Would love to see half the land reclaimed from the Speedway be used for a Fantasyland E-ticket and the other half for a Tomorrowland E-Ticket

Fantasyland: a highly immersive ride better than Potter's best ride that is set in Sleeping Beauty where you'd fight through thorns and ruins to battle Maleficient as a dragon

Tomorrowland: a time travel ride where you'd rocket through a few scenes of Earth's past and then into the FUTURE as imagined by Imagineers...strange animals out of a Dougal Dixon book...exotic new world millions of years in the future. Would be amazing.

The fully built-out Park Map for HKDL was put on display years before the final area will open. They do these things well in advance.

Same artist. Anyone know who does the illustration for the park maps?

No they're real. A few internal programs use maps as a user interface and one of the them uses the finished Fantasyland Expansion map as the map of Magic Kingdom. What is posted here is very much the finished FLE section of the map.

oh... so why does it look fake to me? :confused: *sigh* maybe i need a closer look at the maps, the ones posted here are very small...

i'm sure Disney will come up with something cute for the little ones to explain why it's closed off. like, they'll have a sign saying that the forest is too dark for guests at this time but they're in the process of whatever. i'm sure they'll think of something.

and the walls have been guarding the area for a year now, people won't be so surprised to see more within the confines of the expansion. i just wish more people understood what was being added, the information's been out for a long time, how people don't know already is just mind boggling.
