Fantasyland Courtyard now has new costumes... The merchandise costumes look like Prince and princesses and the attractions costumes are similar to New Fantasyland's costumes but in different colors

Nice to hear they are updating the costumes. Hasn't EPCOT been updating their costumes too?

Now they just need to update the facades of Old Fantasyland, heh. Peter Pan and Small World could be so much more impressive on the outside :(

Philharmagic is worse, half of it is just a blank grey wall. Add to that the plain, red pavement out front and Old Fantasyland has a very flat, fake look to it.

No kidding, especially Small World's entrance. I wish they would completely gut the entrance area, lose the warehouse canopy feel and go for an elaborately themed village with some Mary Blair artistic flourishes. Could be amazing if they tried.

It constantly disappoints me how Magic Kingdom designed their Small World everytime I think about it and then about all of the other Small Worlds.

Well, if it helps, Tokyo Disneyland's Small World isn't that great either. They tried to do a Disneyland USA style façade, but owing to the Tokyo climate (like coastal Virginia) they had to keep the loading area and entire ride indoors. So you get this weird mish-mash of a half-hearted Disneyland USA façade with an indoor warehouse loading area like WDW. It didn't really work.

Paris got it better, even though they had to deal with an inhospitable climate by simply covering the outdoor sections of the ride with a canopy over the boats.

But Disneyland USA's Small World, that really is perfection. Likely because it is the only Small World that Walt worked on himself and personally directed its design and construction.

And it's the only Small World that was christened by Walt himself with water gathered from oceans around the world when it opened in May, 1966. You just can't mess with Walt.

I'm not really a fan. I saw them today and they look kind of cheap. I like the design, they just look like they are made out of the same material that they make the superhero capes out of at Six Flags.

I Agree I don't think they are the best offering for Cm costumes, also like you have stated there are some really good cm costumes that don't look cheap.
