What a shame! That merch is cute, but I was hoping they would make some higher-end, collectable pieces for the attraction. It seems like they did that for Be Our Guest, maybe they will be releasing it for Mermaid soon? Either way, what a bummer...

I'm betting there will be some extras when/if the shop opens that's dedicated to it. :)

Awesome!

I'm going to empty those shelves for my nieces!

I do wish Disney would come up with some merch not aimed at little girls. LM isn't just a princess movie, it is an animated classic, an important movie in the Disney canon, with mature fans.

I was just wondering today if there was going to be a Little Mermaid store, since the model showed other buildings in that area that haven't been opened... makes sense now. Any food offerings in this area too? Or just Gaston's Tavern and BoG?

Also, that dinglehopper is hilarious!

Yes the store will be on the backside of Seven Dwarf's Mine Train, facing Mermaid. It is not yet built, and there is no Mermaid attraction specific merchandise currently available.

But will that be a Mermaid specific store? Also, doesn't look like there is room for much more than a kiosk, though I could be wrong.

Rode Mermaid in DCA after it opened and I was really surprised that there wasn't a Mermaid store. Irregardless of guests impressions of the ride, I'm sure if they used the "exit through the gift shop" technique, they'd be able to sell tons of merchandise.

Now in DCA, there is a little gift shop on San Fran street next to Mermaid that sell Mermaid merchandise. Some. It is really tiny. Oh, and they have resorted to putting up signs informing guests that they can buy princess merchandise somewhere in Paradise Pier.

It's a bad situation for guests who are looking for a specific item requested by an Ariel superfan, rather than the casual shopper.

Am I the only one who thinks that the merchandise in Bonjour village gifts could be a lot better? It seems like they need something that would be a great seller for kids, which it lacks right now. Also, where is the plush Beast that we saw the kid holding in the concept art? I think if they would sell those it would fly off the shelves.

They may offer more/different items once it officially opens in December.

There is going to be a Little Mermaid gift area, I believe they are waiting to finish the coaster, space back there is very limited right now so the merchandise for LM is at the Big Top. I believe it was supposed to be a cart though, not an actual shop.

They sell the Beast's plush! I have one. It just sells off the shelves very quickly so once they get a shipment, he is gone in no time!
